One of many unnecessary posts.
The Unnecessary List Of Movies I've Seen In The Last 24 Hours, With Unnecessary Commentary, by Kelsey:

- Milk: even better than I thought it would be. Reaffirmed the love I have for Sean Penn/James Franco/Diego Luna. My love for Emile Hirsch needs no affirmations. Also, I think my affinity for adorable boylove didn't hurt. Brilliant film. Everyone should see it.
- The Other Boleyn Girl: ehhhh, no. I used to love this book, there was a sixth-to-eighth-grade period where I read it 11 times and was obsessed with all of those wacky Tudors. I know the novel isn't very historically accurate (hence the word "novel") but the movie wasn't even close to the book. I mean, Benedict Cumberbatch (who has the best name EVER)/Will Carey just disappeared after about the second scene. Nothing was close to any type of chronology and the very British main characters were played by very American actresses. Jim Sturgess and Eddie "The Lips" Redmayne are in it though, so that wasn't bad.
- Persepolis: great. From the miniscule amount of French I know, the subtitles translated pretty closely and it was funny. Clever and sad and I love how the story of revolution is told from the little girl's perspective. Love the black and white and the soundtrack.
- The Darjeeling Limited: very good, reminded me quite a bit of The Royal Tenenbaums, complete with Owen Wilson and Anjelica Huston. Very funny and sad and bizarre. Great soundtrack and I want Adrien Brody's sunglasses. A lot.
