"The mission to Nibelheim has been cancelled..."

What if that was indeed true? The city of Midgar would certainly be a different place, wouldn't it? Many people would have survived, the Planet would not have been in ultimate peril, ShinRa might not have been so totally destroyed.

Such is what has happened here. On that fateful night before Sephiroth and Zack Fair were to depart for the mountain city, orders from above came down and the mission was canceled. Neither SOLDIER departed that next day, Sephiroth never ventured down below the mansion and discovered the damning evidence which changed the course of the very Planet itself.

Instead, life went on as usual; the city of Midgar kept growing, Sector 7 was never blown up by the Turks, Zack Fair and Cloud Strife were never experimented upon by Professor Hojo. Zack Fair lived. Amazing, what five minutes in a lifetime can influence, isn't it?

Well, this community is a place for those sorts of thoughts. city_of_midgar is a dressing room type community for muses from the entire Final Fantasy VII compilation to congregate and enjoy life.

There are no applications, no reserves, no page long list of rules. Membership is emailed to the maintainers for the main comm, but other than that, it's open to anyone from the series. It's up to you to work out where your muse fits in the timeline, the Triplet Remnants are welcome here, as are characters who might have passed on in the original storyline. Alternate versions and even doubles are encouraged, as well.
