Noob Rant: I'm going to emplode!
I've been neglecting MMORPG's for YEARS due to it's inhuman addiction but lately due to the pricing of consoles & games and the development of so many crappy RPG's I have lost my faith in the future of fun gaming...and then one day on youtube I happened upon a few COX videos and it reminded me of my weakness....COMIC BOOKS! I knew that one day City of Heroes/COV was going to pull me in but I thought since I resisted getting lured into WOW I could ignore any mmorpg....INCORRECT!
A bud of mine who plays city of villaians sent me a free Trial and instantly I fell in love! My poor toon only reached level 11 due to my old Dell P4 GX260 w/ an onboard video card and only 256 mb of ram to work with :(. Lost Connection to Mapserver for me was as common as breathing air, also trying to walk or run was choppy and painful....don't even ask me about trying to take the train! BIG uppercut on your memory! Also going against bosses and a horde of baddies was annoying especially when the screen freezes and you end up hearing about 15 punches laid on your Controller!
To make a long Story Short I'm getting COH for my birthday as well as 1 Gig of Ram and a bitchin' Graphics Card! I only have 7 days left! I'am so overjoyed that I don't know what to do! (I dunno I might build a frickin' canoe or something). I even wrote down all of the powerlists/sets and mapped out what toons I want and their bios! Sorry for the rant but I just had to gush somewhere lol I'm ecstatic!.
On the Hero side...
I have: 2 Guardian, 1 Protector and 1 on Pinnacle...GAH!
On the Villain Side...
1 on Guardian.
