[His heart is racing as he stares at the street below, then turns his attention to Dende.] What?!

[The teen's cheeks turn a bright red and he looks away, the tips of his ears poking through his hair as he mutters something under his breath, obviously uncomfortable.]

U-um, I've been working really hard on the Dragon Balls! They're all dry and I've started linking them to the Dragon now! I-it's the hardest part, but I'm doing my very best!

[and it looks to be true, for some reason or another the sleeves of his robe and parts of his vest look a little frayed]

His smile is soft, maybe a little apologetic when he directs it at the alien child. "I'm glad."

Gokudera feels guilty and wraps his arms around him. Perhaps he was being a bit too selfish wishing he had his family around. He's sure it's just homesickness, and this little guy is trying to make him feel better and help everyone. "I'm lucky to have you around."

[He blinks, a little astonished that Dende can read him so well. Gokudera looks down at Dende, surprise and maybe a little open sadness in his eyes. He honestly hadn't expected the kid to know or understand why he was so upset...
