[Hope can be seen as a faint silhouette around the darkness of the sheltered clearing. There are a few of the parks Trees around him, but the feed is placed so you can see him. Was it accidental? Or was it purposeful? You can't tell as the silver-haired teen walks away from the feed and looks up at the trees ( Read more... )

[Screw attempting to contact him. Screw grabbing a coat; she'll just be bolting out of her room and towards the park. There's nowhere else in this city that has trees yet, and the cloud of sawdust pretty much tells her where to go. She coughs as she looks around, ignoring the ache in her bandaged right hand as she waves away the smoke]

Hope! Hope, answer me!

I'm fine.

[Yeah. Hope was alive. But... His leg had been caught by the tree. Badly. There was a some blood. But nothing a bit of cleaning and a curasa wouldn't fix. When he wasn't stuck under the tree.]

Oh, thank the Maker...[Lightning is just going to go over to the sound of his voice and....well, shit. This isn't good....maybe she can lift it enough for him to pull his leg free...]

If I get the tree off it, can you pull your leg back enough to get free?

[Hope winced in pain as the Tree shifted.]

Ahh- Lightning. It- [A gasp of pain.]

I-I can't get it out.

[Dammit....no, there's no way she can lift it any higher. She just doesn't have the strength to do it; it's all she can to set it down properly without hurting his leg further, and she clenches her fists tight enough to make the cuts on her knuckles bleed again.]

Dammit.... Hope...I'm sorry.

What?

[The pain is getting worse. He looks up at Lightning with a pained expression.]

I'm sorry too. This... was stupid.

[She can't...she can't bear to see that look on his face so she just crouches beside him, exhaling shakily from both cold and emotion.]

It was, but you weren't. I should have trusted you...should have told you what I was getting into. [She chuckles a little, or maybe chokes back a sob. Hard to tell.] I remember...I remember telling Fang that we were in this together when she was fighting Orphan. Some job I did living up to that.

[Appearing behind Lightning, he's apparently all business. He just his hands under the tree, and glares at her.] are you going to stand there and just talk or help?

Hope... Have you broken anything? Apart from your common sense, obviously.

I don't know. I don't think so. I can still-

[He cries out, There's something in his leg because moving it... HURTS.]

I think- I think there's something in it.

[Lightning doesn't spare Dean a glare, but she does flinch as Hope cries out. Probably a branch impaling his leg, driven in by the fall.]

We'll get it out, Hope. It'll be okay. [One look up to Dean as she gets her grip on the tree. This is too important for her pride to get in the way of.]

On three, we'll lift it. [She gives him a moment to get that, then....] One, two....

[He braces himself, ready to lift, ignoring the biting pain into his palm. It was well on it's way to healing, but it still ached dully. And that was hindering his ability to get a proper hold on the tree. he shuffled his hands, and bit his lip, concentrating on getting this damned tree off Hope.]

Freaking Three already.

[He started to lift with Light, but it wasn't really budging, even with the both of them. there was definitely movement, and they were taking most of the weight off his leg holding it between them, but that was about it at the moment. Which way do they try to move this damned tree between them? Maybe they should have discussed this a moment ago... But still.]

Hope, Is that any better?

[Hope tried sliding out from underneath the tree but it was no use. A layer of fresh blood oozed on his leg. He growled in pain.]

I-It's no use. I can't slide out.

[Hope looked at the two of them with as much strength he could muster.]

I'm going to try bravery.

[Lightning nodded down to Hope, careful with where she put her feet as the snow made her boots lose traction, before she looked back up at Dean, still ignoring the ache in her right hand.]

Once we get it up, just let him get free and then drop it. [Even with Bravery cast on them both, it probably wouldn't be enough to actually move the thing. Especially since it looked like it was still attached to the damn trunk near where it had split. Sometimes she really wished Snow wasn't such a heavy sleeper...]

[He looked at Light as she spoke, and nodded. He had no clue what 'Bravery' was, but if it was a damned help, it was a damned help. He concentrated on just kepping that damned tree up the little bit it was up for now.]

[Biting his lip, The purple synergist rings fly around his body as he looks up at the two adults trying to save his leg. He grimaced, Then two strength enhancing spells fly from his arms into them both. The effort appears to have had a negative effect on him.]

Ready. [He breathed, preparing to get out as fast as he can.]

[It only took one look at Hope to know that this was their only chance to get this right. If they failed...he would lose the leg. So Lightning braced her weight as the spell washed over her, sending strength throughout her body. It was normally used to deal more damage, but now? Now wasn't the time for that. She looked back up at Dean, eyes forward and determined.]

Now, lift! [Even with the spell, she could still feel her arms straining under the weight of the tree. There wouldn't be a second chance. Not here.]
