Well, school's started again. I broke my record of not having missed any university classes on Thursday last week, by stupidly assuming that I had no class, and going to work to interview people instead. I feel so awful about it. But I emailed the prof, who said that many people didn't come, and offered to meet me during non-office hours and give ( Read more... )

how is film 1000? i was going to take it but picked some canadian history course instead but i'm thinking that perhaps i want to drop that and switch to the film because it seems more appealing to me

ohhh and let me know your schedule and stuff, i'm only there 3 days a week but i'm considering joining the fitness thing there so i can get in shape so i may very well be there all week.

Well, considering I switched majors to film soley due to that class and my prof, I would give it two thumbs up. However, my prof isn't teaching film 100 this year, and I don't really know either of the other ones. But I can't imagine it beign too different. Definately better than history! yuck!

I'll email you a file with my schedule in it. That'd be easier than posting it here.

Good thing you didn't get lost. I hated the first few months at Carleton, because I was so nervous I'd get lost in the bowels of the school. It can really seem complicated. But when you get the hang of things, it's easy peasy. If you need any help, you can always call my cell, you know!

I'm in FILM 1000A, and the prof seems really great! He's got an amusing sense of humour and he's interesting in his lecture (at least so far, he only talked for about 45 minutes last night).

i'm enjoying it...i did get a little mixed up today looking for the campus card office so i just gave up on that as i didn't want people to see me walking in circles trying to figure things out

i went and talked to the registrar's office too about switching to film and then emailed someone at the dept to get permission as it's reserved seating or some bs like that...so in the mean time i did attend my canadian studies class (just in case) and actually enjoyed it and look forward to what we're going to cover in the class so if i get the okay for the film studies then i may go and beg the registrar's office into letting me take an extra class.

i'm done for the week so i'm gonna pick up my books tomorrow and get reading

- and monday i have the fysm (some anthropology/health course), sociology followed immediately by psychology...psychology is painful because the prof suffers from monotone-itis.
