Warning: Long Entry is Long
Just got back from work. I have the biggest headache in the world. I think that was due to the fact that I cried several times at work.
reasons for crying:
-paranoia (it caught up with me, and then I had this distinct feeling like everyone is laughing at me and whatnot and I cried)
-Pay It Forward (I thought of the movie and cried)
-My mom (I was trying to talk to her on the phone about my job situation, and how I just found out that everyone working there is making if not $.25 then a lot more than me when I work pretty fucking hard to do everything right. My mom took their side, and that hurt and upset me pretty badly)
I'm now just glad I didn't think of Donna Noble, and how that episode ended, I would have probably passed out from exhausted crying if I did that.
But everything was made better by Rooster bringing me lots of cookies! Yay cookies! Some he made (he is a Baker), and others were expired... meaning they have two days from expiration, but at a supermarket you aren't allowed to have things that are at the 2-day expiration mark, so it got all taken down. Yum for me! I drew him an omnomnomnom picture of me viciously attacking a cookie uber happy. I still have my headache, but now my mouth taste of chocolate chips, so I'm almost on equal footing.
Other news!
I decided that I needed to buy The Sims 2 for PC, I went to gamestop and all they had was the Double Deluxe (which is The Sims 2, Sims 2: Nightlife, and Sims 2: Celebration). I decided to go to Wall*Mart instead. Best fucking descision (ooo... I can't spell today) ever! I did end up getting Double Deluxe (friggen a... I already had Nightlife... though on that note, I openned up my Nightlife game and not only found my missing Smashing Pumpkins CD (first CD of Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness) but also Transamerica! both of which have been missing for a hella long time... getting off track). Anyway, not only did I but Double Deluxe for cheaper than at Gamestop, but while browsing the racks I stumbled across the first season of Sam and Max!
SAM AND MAX!!!
That means I got all three episodes!!
Fuck yes!
For $10!!! (this is one of those awesome PC games that those who have heard of it love it, but those that haven't are like 'WTF?' So yeah, cultish. I played it in 8th grade, and have never forgotten it... mostly because that fucking tunnel of love pissed me the fuck off. I must defeat it)
Sam and Max! Woot!!
More news. I finally decided to do a BPAL order (Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab). For those who don't know what BPAL it, it is this really nifty site where you can find all these different scented oils... very interesting from jasmine to leather to hot metal to blood soaked petals to snow frost. They respond to ones body, so while one oil can smell strongly of orange on one person, on another it might smell more like roses, the scent also changes from wet to dry. It can be used on the body, in the hair, in a bath, ect. I've never really decided to get oils because of a couple reasons: 1) My sense of smell is either weaker or very very very different from others. I can't smell certain things at all. 2) Things that are strong enough for me to smell I either love or I hate. But, since one option is the imp vial pack, I thought why not and picked out six. Hoping I get this six, this is what I chose:
1. Hanging Gardens - This perfume is an interpretation of the Hanging Gardens by night, based on further accounts of its fruit and flora: date palm, ebony, fir, pomegranate, plum, two pears, quince, fig, and grapevine with plumeria, three gardenias and dry rose. (reason: I really really adore fruity flowery smells. When I can actually smell them I am as happy as a clam. If it wasn't for spiders I'd probably be a very gardeny person. I'm most excited about the pomegranate, pears, gardenias, and dry rose)
2. Lolita - Bright, sweet and youthful, but swelling with a poisonous sexuality. Glittering heliotrope, honeysuckle, orange blossom and lemon verbena. (reason: my favorite flower smell is either roses or honeysuckle. Roses are very nice, but honeysuckle is such a poignant memory in my mind that I can remember the smell just by thinking about it. The orange blossom and lemon verbena put me over the top for this)
3. Croquet (from Mad Tea Party) - We have some trouble managing our flamingos, too. Pink lime, pink grapefruit, white nectarine, wild rose, sage, woody patchouli, bergamot, and ornery hedgehog musk. (reason: At first I wasn't sure about this, I saw sage, woody patchouli, and ornery hedgehog musk and nearly just passed it. I happenned to look at the reviews and all anyone could seem to talk about was the lime, and grapefruit. Eventually that is what made me choose. I love grapefruit smell, if I am in a candle store, or bath and body works I always go right for grapefruit. Here's hoping I don't come out smelling like a ornery hippie hedgehog)
4. Night-Gaunt - Their scent of their slick, rubbery hides is bittersweet, ticklish, and skin-creeping: something akin to yuzu, white grapefruit, and kumquat mixed with the snow-dusted flowers of Mount Ngranek. (reason: yet again, because of the grapefruit... though the kumquat made me smile. I like to eat them and it is fun to say. What really interested me though was that people on the forum said that the snow-dusted flower smell was the best description for what they smelt. Interesting)
5. Manhattan - Sexuality, power, confidence. A meeting of modern, sleek elegance and rich, passionate history: sheer amber, black leather, white mint, lemon peel, white tea, grapefruit, kush, teakwood and orchid. (reason: grapefruit... do you know something I like by now? Though I was very interested in the black leather. Now, I do like the smell of mint too, depending on how it is. If it is overpowering I may try to pawn it off on my sister "Look Emo! It's Manhattan smell!")
6. Schrodinger's Cat - A paradoxical scent experiment! - tangerine, sugared lime, pink grapefruit, oakmoss, lavender, zdravetz, and chocolate peppermint. (reason: C'mon... the name on this alone sold me. I was browsing, saw it, and didn't care what the smell mix was about it. I was gettin' it. Then I saw the mix of smells and had a happy fest. Tangerine: win, sugared lime: win, pink grapefruit: double win, chocolate peppermint: sign me up. I really hope this one lives up to the expectation I have for it, and that I get the imp of this too, and that it smells good on me. If it does, this has the most chance of a real bottle of it being bought... I just want to say I am wearing and am not wearing this scent... as long as no one looks in the box).
Other work news:
I was going to give someone a goodbye hug today, but seeing as that someone was late to work I shall have to give them a mental goodbye hug. Adios.
Oh yeah! and before I forget! The other night when Ren was staying later at work to talk to me (because she is awesome like that), we got to talking about embarassing slash pairings. I brought in the one pairing that pwns a lot of pairings from BWoC. The pairing includes an imaginary friend and the creator of said imaginary friend (sadly I have now such an interesting story with this premise... not fanfiction, but with origional characters... off track). Ren turns away to start laughing her ass off (can't blame her), and the customer comes up and says "Imaginary Friends? Sounds like religion."
Oh yes. That does pwn all.
