Interesting Valentine Sights to See

Feb 14, 2011 18:50

Today while working at Riverside Liquors I got to bare witness to the most interesting of sights I have ever seen in person.

A man drove up, and parked in front of the building, and proceeded to get in and out of his car bringing in soda cans. I didn't think this odd. He was kinda of dirty looking, wearing pajamas, and had very VERY bad teeth. I glanced out at his car, and saw something that made me go O__O. In the passenger side of his car was a mannequin, a lifelike mannequin, but a doll none-the-less. She was blonde, and had a regular sized chest. She was wearing a Valentine's Day outfit (a white cardigan with red hearts, and what I can only imagine was a pink/red dress), and had her seatbelt on. I didn't stare, but I certainly looked more than once to be certain. It just... one doesn't normally see those kinds of things in everyday life, it's usually in the movies, or you hear of someone that heard of someone whose brother said that this person may have done it once.

The thing that really gets me is that he wasn't trying to draw attention to her, like someone would if they were doing a dare, or trying to get a rise out of people. He carried about his business, got his $0.60 worth of change from bottle returns, and then left and told me to have a Happy Valentine's Day.

I was going to to tell my coworkers about it, but I had forgotten until I got into school (yes I am sitting in school right now, it's a Mentored Learning class, so it's Independent Study... and I really do need a break, after getting up at 7am so I could be awake enough for work at 9am to 5pm... I really just want to go home and take a shower.)

But yeah...
I wonder what else one sees on the dayshift.

Besides that, it was a gorgeous day today, I don't know the degree but it was warm, and I sat outside for a bit (I know I know, the Southwick 'Goth' sitting outside).
