I finally saw someone spell it.

I'd been wondering if I was ever going to see a style-guide appropriate spelling for this word.

Now, I can use "schneid" in my blog posts with impunity. I've been wanting to use it in writing ever since I started hearing Chris Berman toss it around every week on "NFL Countdown", circa 1998 or so.
