Just remember, for the AI voting tonight - if Blake wins, America wins. If you're a Jordin fan, note that she actually will get a better record deal and more money if she loses. It's kind of twisted, but that's how it works. The default AI record deal is really kind of crappy, but a good agent can parlay competing interest for the top "losers" into a better deal that's worth more money. (See: Clay Aiken, Chris Daughtry.)
So, why do I want Blake Lewis to win? Simple - it guarantees that he'll be on the radio, and he will thus inject musical creativity into a perpetually moribund medium. Melinda and Jordin (both amazing voices) are already set for life, win or lose. But, Blake is "different" and "controversial" enough that every record company might take a pass on him. Do you really think that anyone would have signed Taylor Hicks if he didn't win? OK, don't answer that.
