you know, that song. your eyes start welling before you even hear the first note. and when you press play, you can feel the music tingling from your arms through your legs, radiating from your heart to your skin and back? and you wish you had a voice worthy of the tune--not identical, but whimsically unique--so you could sing in a dimmed coffeeshop, serenading the crowd as you scan for the one face you're searching for. so you lock the door, and turn up the volume and close your eyes, mouth the words, and imagine a scene as vivid as if you were a child with a storybook. but the places are darker and the emotions are stronger and deeper. and each time you hear the song will be different from the last.
