Beware, long post is long, but seeing as ACen was not only my first convention but my first time putting together a fully-realized cosplay, I really wanted to document my experience somewhere, so without further ado, here goes!

Now, see?? I would just LOVE to see someone try to fit all of this fantastic detail into a Tumblr post. Livejournal, thank you for still existing to fulfill the needs of long-form bloggers everywhere. <3

This is a lovely chronicle of Adventures in Cosplay. I'm so excited that you've embraced all of the lunacy that is spending a ton of time, effort and cash on super dorky character tributes that you might wear just once or a couple of times in your life!! (Oh, I take that back...Gatomon's actually gotten plenty of wear, and hopefully Ashley will, too <3!) ...I say that, but this time around there really wasn't a whole lot of crafting that had to go into mine. ^^; Heheh... I have plenty of past experiences that this resonates with, though. *nod nod nod* I'm so proud of you for doing all of that work so quickly, and GEEZ, you're insane for sewing that by hand afjkafkdj;aj!! O_o (Oooh, I really hope to see the bag complete with lining next time, though!) And dat Raidramon..........Always remember: As insane as you might feel, there's someone out there working way more insanely on something even more insane. XD;

I might have mentioned this before, but http://www.cosplay.com/ is a thing. People document all sorts of details about their costumes on this site, from the construction process to the materials used and amount of money spent...and of course, the final product. I have always meant to build a profile on here, but...Why on earth, I don't know, but I just never got around to it. Maybe...I should. I have no idea anymore how much I spent on materials all those years ago (and I probably don't want to know), but I could probably fill out the basics. HMM.

I'm so thrilled that at least one of those dumb couple-y hand-holdy pictures came out well! Soo cuuuute!! #stupid shipping opinions forever

If you'd asked me 5 years ago I don't think I would have believed it, but all that effort = so worthwhile X3 I probably SHOULD figure out how much I spent, but at the same time... no, I don't think I really want to know ^^;

You should totally create an account though! Maybe I should too? And yes, hm, I will endeavor to check off everything left on my to-do list for Clemontine... better get on that so I don't find myself in another crunch time! :P
