...because I'm still thinking about the finale and season five.
So, Neal was without his anklet at the end of the episode. I kind of hope they use that somehow at the beginning of season five. I think I might be disappointed if season five opens and he just has it on again right away.
Except for the past couple episodes, the anklet hasn't really been much of a plot device lately. In fact, while watching seasons one and two, I would have thought it'd be hard for them to have Neal complete his sentence before the end of the show, but now, I could see it working, actually. The anklet isn't necessary to keep Neal in New York anymore.
But now that Neal is anklet-free, this is a good opportunity to do stuff that would be difficult if the FBI were monitoring his movements. Like catching James. Or rounding up help for Peter.
