Trick or Treat 2018 Letter
This is my letter for the Trick or Treat exchange, 2018 edition.
I like all sorts of fic, so I'm pretty flexible! Also, I like both happy/fluffy fic and some pretty dark stuff, so feel free to go in whichever direction you want. I don't mind unhappy endings. I have some favorite ships, but I also enjoy gen and friendship fic just as much.
I'm not very good at coming up with prompts, and it's hard to get a balance between including proper prompts and having nothing. I tried to include some things that I like/would find interesting about the characters I requested, but feel free to ignore or use that as a rough guideline.
General likes:

- For porn, things I like include like anal sex/play, spanking, D/s power play, slavefic, A/B/O, BDSM AUs, dub-con/non-con, humiliation, and watersports. I like both consensual and non-con/dub-con interpretations. Some of my favorite pairings are Charles/Hank, Charles/Erik, Jean/Ororo, Charles/Jean, Erik/Jean, Erik/Hank, and Erik/Emma, but I'm pretty flexible on that. I also really like team interaction, solo gen, and friendship.

- Anything related to the school. Maybe Charles and Hank running the school together, or one or both of them interacting with students in general. Or Jean or Ororo's life as a student. If you want to go with a Halloween theme, maybe the students want to celebrate Halloween.

- Hank and Charles navigating being in a relationship.
- Hank adjusting to his Beast form, or dealing with challenges related to it. How does it affect his life, either physically (ie, does he have a hard time working in his lab at first because he's not used to his new hands?) or mentally/socially (he must have had to stay in hiding before he developed the serum and before mutants became mainstream). If you pair him with someone, it'd be interesting to see the sexual implications addressed--like, does he worry about accidentally hurting his partner with his strength or his sharp teeth? Is the other person turned on by his Beast form?
- Characters discovering/learning to control their powers (whether it's harmless or not is up to you).
- Charles relating to Jean as a telepath and seeing himself in her.
- Jean and Ororo being friends or lovers.
- Ororo adjusting to life at the school and in the US.
- Ororo having a crush on Jean (either requited or not).
- Jean keeping people at arm's length because of her telepathy, or fighting with her growing awareness of the Phoenix in her.
- Charles pushing the ethical boundaries of telepathy. This could be anything from occasionally influencing people for convenience to something darker like holding someone prisoner using his powers or altering their memory in a major way. This could also work for Emma and Jean.
- Telepathy and mind control in general. I love this whether it's humorous, heroic, or dark.
- Anything about Erik's time with his Brotherhood in between XMFC and his capture. How did he get along with his new friends/followers, especially when most of them had been following Shaw? What type of leader was he?
- Anything about the effect that Erik's time in prison had on him, or how he was treated. Go as angsty or dark as you'd like.
- Apocalypse ends on an ambiguous note for Erik. What does he do afterward? Is he still a fugitive, or does he get a reprieve because of his help in defeating En Sabah Nur?
- For Charles/Erik, I like in-universe stuff or AUs where they have their powers. I also have a fondness for bottom!Erik (and, in A/B/O, omega!Erik), but I'm not particular on that by any means.
- Emma's activities with the Brotherhood, or her activities after Erik was captured.
- Emma secretly being alive during the Days of Future Past era and after.

- Meredith's life and background before Prometheus. I feel like there are a lot of questions about her, especially in regards to her relationship with her father. Was it well-known that she was Weyland's daughter? What was the source of the conflict between them?
- Anything about David and Meredith's relationship and rivalry, and how they saw each other.
- David/Meredith. Maybe they have hatesex. Maybe Vickers takes out her anger on him. Maybe one or both of them worry about Weyland finding out and disapproving. Or maybe they relate to each other in some way even though there's also some resentment.

Some prompts/things I like:
I like both gen and shipfic/porn. My favorite ships are Laszlo/John, Laszlo/Sara/John, Laszlo/Sara, and Laszlo/Mary.
- I'm really into the characters and their relationships (either gen or romantic) and backstories.
- I like Laszlo's mix of competence, kindness, and arrogance. I'm really interested in stories that explore those contradictions in his character, and how he means well but can be a bit of a jerk. I also find it interesting how he really seems to like helping people, but how his relationships with his former patients also seem to fuel his ego. He seems to have a difficult time not being the person who's in charge or whom other people look up to and trust, which is why he seems to butt heads with Sara so much. I'd love to see more exploration of these aspects of his character. I'm also interested in Laszlo/Mary fic that deals with this.
- I like how resolute Sara is and how she works hard to hold her own. From a ship standpoint, I like the idea of her navigating relationships while maintaining her independence.

Pairings I like include Neal/Peter, Neal/Elizabeth/Peter, Neal/Sara, and Neal/Keller (or Neal/anyone, pretty much!). I also really like team/friendship fic and characters working together, especially if it's an eccentric or unexpected combination (like Mozzie and Sara or Mozzie and Diana).

- Mozzie's schemes, unusual interests, disguises, and conspiracy theories. Maybe he introduces another character to the Tiles of Fire movies, or comes up with a bizarre Halloween costume.
- Mozzie interacting with Diana and/or her son (maybe Theo can go trick or treating).
- I also really like Mozzie's friendships with Elizabeth and Neal, and his grudging with Peter.
- Elizabeth getting involved in cases.
- For something Halloween/horror-themed, maybe someone could find themselves with a cursed/haunted artifact. Or they could break into a haunted building.

Some prompts/things I like:
Honestly, I just love both characters and would enjoy pretty much anything (fic or art) involving one or both of them!
My favorite traits of Eve's are her mix of competence and awkwardness and her perseverance. I love her canon characterization, but would also enjoy a story where she becomes a darker/more ruthless character than she currently is.
For Villanelle, I like her dark humor, impatience, and arrogance. I'm interested in the potential for Eve and her fixation with Eve to make her vulnerable.
I like Eve/Villanelle, but I'm cool with stories where they don't end up together or where things end unhappily. I'm also on board with them ending up together somehow.
Other things I'm interested in are character backstory, stories that deal with the aftermath of the first season, canon divergence AUs, and kink (especially D/s, spanking, and dub-con).

Also, I think the presence of shades in the dream world could be a great premise for a ghost story). I'm a big fan of both happy and bittersweet/ambiguous/unhappy endings.

If you go with something shippy, I ship pretty much ship everyone with everyone in Torchwood. Some of my favorite pairingss are Jack/Ianto, Ianto/Owen, and Toshiko/Suzie. I also like Jack/John Hart.
I'm not a big fan of Children of Earth and I didn't watch Miracle Day, so I'd prefer something that takes place prior to that (or a canon-divergence AU).
Some prompts/things I like:
- Suzie's experiments with the resurrection gauntlet.
- Backstory and character study for Suzie. Why did she hate her father? How did she come to start killing for her experiments?
- Toshiko being smart and competent.
- Ianto's experiences with Torchwood One and trying to save Lisa.
- Jack's backstory and years on Earth as an immortal. Also, his missing memories from his time as a Time Agent. If you wanted to go a darker route, I'm interested by the implications that he's done some pretty dark things, both that he remembers and doesn't remember.
- My favorite episodes are Cyberwoman; Countrycide; Greeks Bearing Gifts; They Keep Killing Suzie; Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang; Adrift; and Fragments. I love fic based on those.
- Alien tech gone awry (either in a light-hearted or dark way).

I love all three of these characters and would enjoy pretty much anything. I like both gen and shipfic/porn. I like Dorian/Basil, Dorian/Henry Wotton, and Basil/Henry.

Also, I think the presence of shades in the dream world could be a great premise for a ghost story). I'm a big fan of both happy and bittersweet/ambiguous/unhappy endings.
Torchwood
Characters requested: Rhys Williams, Owen Harper, Adam Smith, Lisa Hallett, Ianto Jones, Jack Harkness, Suzie Costello, John Hart, Gwen Cooper.
If you go with something shippy, I ship pretty much ship everyone with everyone in Torchwood. Some of my favorite pairingss are Jack/Ianto, Ianto/Owen, and Toshiko/Suzie. I also like Jack/John Hart.
I'm not a big fan of Children of Earth and I didn't watch Miracle Day, so I'd prefer something that takes place prior to that (or a canon-divergence AU).
Some prompts/things I like:
- Suzie's experiments with the resurrection gauntlet.
- Backstory and character study for Suzie. Why did she hate her father? How did she come to start killing for her experiments?
- Toshiko being smart and competent.
- Ianto's experiences with Torchwood One and trying to save Lisa.
- Jack's backstory and years on Earth as an immortal. Also, his missing memories from his time as a Time Agent. If you wanted to go a darker route, I'm interested by the implications that he's done some pretty dark things, both that he remembers and doesn't remember.
- My favorite episodes are Cyberwoman; Countrycide; Greeks Bearing Gifts; They Keep Killing Suzie; Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang; Adrift; and Fragments. I love fic based on those.
- Alien tech gone awry (either in a light-hearted or dark way).
- People coming/going through the Rift.
- Aliens. And sex involving aliens if you wanted to go that route.
- Anything involving the Year That Never Was and the effect it had on Jack or on the team.
- Outsider perspectives are also fun (like Rhys interacting with the team during the earlier days when he's not as familiar with aliens).
Detroit: Become Human (Video Game)
Characters requested: Connor, Hank Anderson, Amanda, Lucy.
I like both gen and shipfic/porn. I like Connor/Hank and Connor/Amanda.
Some prompts/things I like:
- Hank and Connor's partnership and growing friendship.
- In a scenario where Connor and Hank both survive to the end of the game, Hank helping Connor adjust to whatevert he world is like for Androids now. Maybe Connor moves in with him because he has nowhere else to go.
- Amanda and Connor's uneasy relationship. Does Connor feel a sense of loyalty to her?
- Anything about Lucy and her backstory. Where she came from or how she became what she is now.
- Amanda's backstory (what was the "real" Amanda like?)
- Horror, especially existential horror involving androids, like the possibility for android consciousness to be transferred from one body to another, or for two versions of the same character to exist at once in separate bodies, or the weirdness of having multiple androids of the same model that have similar personalities but different experiences.
- The ambiguity of programming vs. true independent thought/personality.
The Picture of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde
Characters requested: Henry Wotton, Dorian Gray, Basil Hallward.
I love all three of these characters and would enjoy pretty much anything. I like both gen and shipfic/porn. I like Dorian/Basil, Dorian/Henry Wotton, and Basil/Henry.
Some prompts/things I like:
- Basil's infatuation with Dorian.
- Basil's thoughts and feelings as he sees Dorian become more corrupted over time and less like the Dorian who was his muse.
- The relationship between Dorian and Henry Wotton (either in a platonic sense or a non-platonic sense). Henry's thoughts and feelings about how Dorian changes.
- I'm also really interested in the progression of Dorian's character and the novel's themes of influence and how much outside influence is truly responsible (for example, Dorian using Henry Wotten's influence and the yellow book as an excuse for his behavior even though Henry never encourages him to go to the depths that he goes to).
