嵐Goodies
Got my Arashi goodies from YesAsia.com today. I feel like I’ve been waiting ages. I bought the new Popcorn album, the 2012 Arafes concert DVD「嵐 フェス」and Your Eyes single CD.
I missed out on the Japanese first press edition of Popcorn so I took a chance and got the Hong Kong one, as there were some left and the price wasn’t ridiculous, which means I get the Arashi popcorn stickers and the little story book (in Japanese) as well! Turns out, the only difference is the addition of a Chinese language booklet for the lyrics, so I’m happy.
The Popcorn storybook is cute, basically it’s Arashi as little popcorn men having an adventure leading up to their concert.

I’m not sure what the English version is. Google says it’s, ‘Popcorn of Love and Courage’ and ‘until you are popcorn’, but Google + Japanese doesn’t always make for a good translation. In this case 愛 「あい」 is love and 勇気「ゆうき」 is courage/bravery according to my JWPce Japanese word processor software, so... who knows!
The の makes the ‘love and courage’ part the possessive? Love and courage’s popcorn? Bing says ‘Love and bravery's popcorn’ and ‘To the Popcorn’. What about ‘You’ll remain popcorn until you find love and courage’? Making it up as I go along now! :)
The concert DVD is nice, sturdy box, two discs, and nice programme/photo booklet and the concert itself is good, fan picked songs as a thank you to everyone who supports them. On the front of the DVD, in English, it says, ‘THE FESTIVAL WITH OUR 嵐 BIG “LOVE & THANK YOU”’
