So who did I see tuesday,
Max Cleland came to speak, the democratic senator from Georgia I think. He's a triple amputee as a result of his fighting in Vietnam, but he came back and has been a state governor and all kinds of stuff. Unfortunately I had to go to class halfway through his speech, but he was an extremely cool guy. I joined the College Democrats the same day, which I'm quite happy about.
Also, I'm playing on two broomball teams. You mean you haven't heard of broomball? Allow me to explain:
First you get 6 people.
Then you find an ice skating rink
Put on a helmet and and grab a short plastic stick
Walk onto the ice in shoes
Fall on your ass trying to score
I can't tell which is funnier, the fact that broomball is an organized sport, or that I'm on two different teams. The only downside is that the rink is right next to all the hockey players lockers so it reaks like holy hell in there. It's still good times though.
Also, I managed to convince some people to see Garden State with me. I liked it more second time, for some reason or another. I do miss my indie theater... I'll have to spend some serious time at the drexel next time I'm home. Fosh. I haven't seen napoleon dynamite in like... 3 weeks now. I don't know if I'll make it until I can get it on dvd or not.
On the bright side, there is a place called Tuffy's that's open 24 hours. They sell these things called toasted rolls... oh so good. They're like half-cinnamon roll half-auntie anne's pretzel *drools* They also have Clintons. Clintons started when this guy with the last name Clinton drunkenly decided to combine both a slice of pizza and a grilled cheese into the same sandwich. So horribly unhealthy, yet so tasty. I've been going there after adult swim with some of the guys around the hall.
On the other hand, I'm also looking to seeing some certain folks back home and I should be back for the 9th and 10th of October, so it's not so far away.
