It's only my 4th day in NYC and already I have experienced/learned so much.
For starters, Staten Island sucks unless you are puerto rican or hispanic.
Trash. Trash. More trash.
Ugh I hate it.
Secondly-- never order tofu and vegetable soup from a Japanese restaurant in Brooklyn.
They literally put a chunk of cabbage in a metal pot with 3 large chunks of tofu and serve it to you as is.
Ick.
I've discovered a beer I can love! It's called "Cider Beer".
I don't think we have it back in Georgia, but it tastes just like apple cider.
Also, Bacardi Vanilla Rum mixed with diet coke tastes like vanilla coke -- and is really really good.
I walked through Harlem by accident the other night -- it was kind of scary,
but if you ever need home-made perfume or incense, you can get it here.
This city is FUCKING HUGE.
Keeli took me to Chinatown yesterday -- I walked 3 blocks, down an ally, up some stairs, and into a hidden passage way just for a Balenciaga knock-off bag ... or so I thought .. there were none. I walked a friggen mile only to be told "no no only louis louis". wtf. However, that place is amazing and I had so much fun exploring.
Although you should know, if you ever have to pee in NY, it's probably going to cost you $2-3.
I think I love it here -- I got off to a rough start, but it's growing me. However, I think I like LA better .. I'm not sure yet.
PS- I rode the subway system and conquered that bitch. all by myself!
