i love shoes and books

every time i buy a pair of shoes, i wear them to death. then i get them fixed at least four times because it's hard for me to find shoes i like. it's about time for me to let go of my fabulous black, pointy flats i bought for 75% off at bloomingdale's; they're about four years old. all i can find are ballet flats with the rounded toes, which is fine, but i already have a pair like that. and the pointy ones i do fiind are patent leather, which i'm not really too crazy about.

someone tell me where i can find pointy, black leather flats, please, PLEASE!

i can't remember the last time i read a book by an asian-american woman that was well written. most of the ones i've read have been absolute garbage, as if they went to print soley to fulfill some publishing house's quota for oriental flavor or some other p.c. bullshit. anyway, i spent the better part of this past weekend reading happy birthday or whatever: track suits, kim chee and other family disasters by annie choi. i loved her book! go out and get a copy, or go to amazon.com to read a few samples.
