We can never know the proper course of action to take, can never know what action in our lives is correct. For we have neither past lives from which to draw conclusions, nor future lives through which to rectify error.

We get one shot. Every choice in every instance is, at best, an estimation adumbrated from extremely tenuous hypotheses.

Do not become angry at this; rather, take comfort.
