Monday, October 25, 2004 : "Operation Tar Pit"
Organized and Executed by The Sacramento Sheriffs Dept., Sacramento Major Narcotics Investigation Team, Sacramento High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA), and various other law enforcement agenicies.
On the date stated above, 19 people (all but three I knew and had dealt with personally in the past) were arrested when the law - wrapping up a six month long investigation - swooped in to bust a major Black Tar Heroin distrubution ring. Didra, as you all know - my ex of five years - was one of the 19 arrested. She is looking at five to ten years in a state prison, thanks to charges of: Possesion of a Controled Substance (Heroin) With Intent to Sell, Posession of a Controled Substance With Intent to Distribute (basically selling dope to the street dealers), Conspiracy, and Tax Evasion (for not paying income taxes on the dope she was slinging). I feel really bad for her but I tried, desperately, to get her to quit using and get into some sorta program. But, she was living it up (with the main dealer, the head the law really wanted on a platter) with all the smack she could smoke/shoot and all the cash she could ever spend. So, she got to live that high life (literally) for about a year and a half. Now, she will pay for it with five to ten years. I am so fucking glad that I quit when I did and didn't get caught up in the sting. I mean, the law basically arrested everyone, I mean everyone that I know in the dope game. So now, even if I tried to score some boy it would probably be pretty damn near impossible. That is a good thing I guess. Anyways, I don't want to invest a whole bunch of space on this. The Better Turn of Events From My Life
I began work at my new job (Gold Rush Recycling) last week and it is fucking rad! It is hella laid back and easy, plus the people I work with are cool. And Pete and I both work there! So it is really fun. Within a few weeks Pete and I will pretty much be running the place on our own! Life, for once in a long fucking time, is actually begining to look up. By the end of the month we should have enough cash to get a place of our own and can just use the truck as, well, transportation. Ah, I am really optimistic now. Also, I got a cell phone yesterday so, if any of y'all need to reach me just hit me up with an email and I'll send you my number. Nah, fuck it, 628-0897, you guys know the area code. Soon I will have an apartment and money and I will (hopefully) have the self-esteem and confidence to approach femme fatales and maybe get a girlfriend... whats up Jasmine? *wink. wink* Anyways...
