This is impressive!

After not one, but several, two-year long breaks from updating this thing, one would think my extemporaneous musings would be purged from the record to make way for more dedicated users. As I stated in the subject line, I am astounded at the fact that my livejournal is still here.

However, both of my readers have probably given up on me long ago, so I may have to resign myself to the fact that these posts are lost amongst the countless bits that constitute the "internet", only to resurface if I become famous or indicted for a violent sarcasm felony.

On the other hand, perhaps there is one lone fan of mine who has been waiting patiently by his computer, swilling mountain dew and playing World of Warcraft on his backup computer while I did frivolous things, such as work and jury duty. I can only imagine his deepening despondency, growing worse every day as he waits and waits for some sign that citizen_brigade is alive. And then, just before his spirit snaps; just before his trust in me vanishes;  just before his diet of sugary yellow beverages and delivery pastrami sandwiches gives him scurvy, comes his reward. My post. He immediately forgets the porn downloading on his tertiary computer and scrambles to the livejournal site. The sweet, soothing electronic musings of citizen_brigade are merely a click away! So click he does! And then, I can only imagine his ensuing rush of adrenaline from the nearly naughty act of knowing another persons thoughts!  Citizen_brigade, what iridescent nugget of personal wisdom have you unleashed for your fan today? Here it is:

"I saw a newfoudland puppy today. It was cute."

....perhaps it IS better that I keep this thing in the shadowed nether regions of the internet, after all.
