I finally watched the Vampire Diaries finale.
UM, WOW. THAT WAS AMAZING. AND ANGSTY. AND A;SLDKFJA;LSDJFL.
I seriously did not expect to get so invested in this show. I thought it would be a fun, guilty pleasure hour of TV where I could turn my brain off and look at pretty people. But I was so wrong. This show is actually good. I like the writing, I like the acting, I like how the story's developing, and I'm starting to really love all of the characters. I wasn't crazy about either Stefan or Elena for a long time, but they've both grown on me a lot. Especially Elena. It's kind of awesome! It's way more fun when you can feel invested in everybody.
So, the finale. It's been a while since I've watched a season finale in (almost) real time that surprised me as much as this episode did, and left me cursing the months between now and next season. I was so not expecting that to be Katherine at the end. And Anna dying! And the Jeremy thing! And Damon! And Caroline! And everything else!
I'm kind of in a state of !!!!!!!!!! right now. I am not quite sure how that happened, but I am not complaining. I am officially 100% pro Vampire Diaries and I shall impatiently be waiting for season 2.
I might need to get an icon for this show.
