Just watched the Rove video! That's my favourite Australian talk show, and Rove is always so awkward and dorky, but it works. I love that interview! I think I love Tom even more now! He's decided that Mark and Travis' sons are going to be gay so his daughter will be saved from them! Ahahaha. That's precious! Also, you were so right with the ridiculous prettiness of Tom, guuh.
Rove would have had a field day with that interview. He usually tries so hard to get his guests to say rude/embarrassing/stupid/sex-related things and Blink-182 did that without him even trying. (I mean in 2007-2008 Rove's signature last question was always "Who would you turn gay for?!" and when he had someone who was out as gay on the show he said "who would you turn straight for!?" I love it!)
The performance after that interview makes me want to start listening to them again. I used to have their CD, but it got scratched, so now all I have are handful of songs that I've picked up from mixes.
Oh oh and what Tom said about Australians calling them "Blink 1-8-2" is so true. I always called them that! ♥
Yay! Rove did seem really awesome in that interview - it's cool to know that his awesome is consistent. He was so enthusiastic and interested in what the band was saying, which was great. :)
Hahaha, I love that! And yeah, it's not at all hard to get blink-182 to say inappropriate things. Makes for some interesting interviews!
You know, until just a bit ago, I'd really only listened to Enema of the State (which I loved when it came out 10 years ago, but hadn't really listened to since - until I learned I'd be seeing live them this summer). I didn't even know their hits from any other albums before that. And honestly, I probably wouldn't have given their music a chance if my interest hadn't been sparked by other things (read: Mark and Tom being in love), but I'm really glad I did because there's a lot that I genuinely like. :D
That's so funny! And kind of cute! (It was really sweet what he said about Australia). ♥
