OMG, I started this entry Thursday afternoon, but kept getting interrupted and then had to change tenses and the like. Oh my. Sorry if something doesn't make sense!
I AM FREEEE! SPRING BREAK, WOO! Tomorrow (technically today), I leave this silly warm climate and return to my dear rainy northwest. Grey skies, I have missed thee. \o/
Apparently some movie is going to be filmed on my campus, so for the past few days, people have been bringing in lamp posts, benches & plants by the truckload for set dressing, and attaching fake leaves to all the trees with bare branches. Hee! It's pretty amusing.
I'm so happy to have a break from classes. My Computation & Cognition course (which is basically computer science at the moment) is ridiculous because the professor, though very nice, tends to fail at teaching in ways that make sense. Russian is getting complicated and the class is full of jocks who enjoy answering questions asked of them (in Russian) with talk of "looking for beautiful women" and other similar things, which makes me eyeroll.
I mostly enjoy my Philosophy Of Space And Time class, though. I can't pretend to understand everything we talk about (it would probaby help if I took the time to read the assigned texts more carefully or at all), but I'm fascinated by a lot of the topics. Thursday, we talked about arguments that people have made trying to prove that space doesn't exist. A few classes ago we discussed time travel (which, in theory, is possible!), and we've covered relativity, alternative theories of geometry, Zeno's Paradoxes, and lots of other things that are awesome in a slightly brain-hurty way. It's exciting! Haha, I'm kind of a nerd sometimes.
Know what's also exciting and nerdy? I came up with a list of similarities between Gerard Way and Noel Fielding. Because I have too much time on my hands am awesome. Even if you don't care about Noel, you should totally
click for pics!
Okay, so. Aside from being wonderful, talented, adorable, genuinely nice seeming people, Gerard and Noel have even more in common. Allow me to enlighten you.
Gerard Way. Often androgynous, unconventionally beautiful man with tousled, awesomely dyed black hair.
Guess who else fits this description?
That's right! Noel Fielding.
Know what else? They both went to art school. (Amazing, right?)
Gerard painting a tree!
Noel with his monster(?) painting. Being a huge dork, I might add.
They both have lovely girlfriends/wives in (really good) bands:
Lyn-Z, of Mindless Self Indulgence.
Dee Plume, of
Robots In Disguise, who I have been listening to a lot lately.
We all know about Gerard & Lyn-Z's epic (and adorable) sharpie love, yes?
Well look! Noel and Dee write on themselves sometimes, too. (...no, I have no idea what this is about).
Yet, neither are opposed to a little boykissing here and there.
I am also not opposed.
Really not.
In fact, I support it wholeheartedly.
And my guess is you do, too.
Moving on...
They both work with their younger brothers.
Their younger brothers named Michael.
Mikey Way came up with the name My Chemical Romance.
Michael Fielding inadvertently inspired the name for The Mighty Boosh. (When he was little, he had big, curly hair that one of his friends, who had an accent, called a "mighty boosh". Noel found it amusing, and much later took the name).
Onto more superficial things.
Gerard plays with his hair in so many interviews. Why this was the best hair touching picture I could find at the moment is beyond me.
As does Noel. He even twirls his hair, which is all kinds of adorable.
Red highlights!
(Those look kind of fake? Maybe? But I'm pretty sure he had red highlights at some point, anyway).
Gerard enjoys having his face painted.
Noel does this on occasion, as well.
Often skeletally themed.
That looks vaguely skeleton-ish?
Speaking of skeletons...
Each own easily recognizable pieces of skeleton clothing!
Oh, Gerard. ♥
Oh, Noel. ♥
Gerard is fond of the big sunglasses.
And so is Noel!
Also, boas.
Because boas are awesome.
Fuzzy hood, from which to peer sweetly. <-- awkward sentence I'm too tired to fix.
Even fluffier hood. :)
Who has a long black coat with black, fake (I'm assuming) fur trim?
Gerard Way has one!
Ooooh, Noel Fielding has one, too!
Gerard!bear. (ahahah)
Noel!bear. (Yeah, different kinds of bears, but I think my point stands). ;)
And lastly, for the lulz: both of them sometimes look like slightly frightening sea transexuals.
On purpose for Noel. (Old Gregg! ♥)
Gerard...not so much. *CAN'T STOP LAUGHING*
Alright, I lied. I feel bad ending there, so here are two more pretty pictures:
In conclusion, I have massive crushes on both of them.
I told my roommate I just spent hours finding similar pictures of Gerard Way and Noel Fielding, and she looked at me all judge-y. :/
Okay. Going home SOOOOOON!!!!
