I probably shouldn't try to write entries at 3:00 in the morning when I'm completely exhausted.

Apologies for non-sense-making parts of this post. I'm about to fall asleep, but I wanted to write this before I forgot things.

So remember how I went to see Projekt Revolution Tour today? Yeah. Best concert of my life.

I don't even know how to approach writing about this. God, it was such an amazing day.

As I've mentioned, I had never been to a big, outdoor music festival type thing before, and this was also the first concert I've ever gone to alone. So I was slightly bewildered at first (considering I couldn't figure out where the side stage was, and the staff people neglected to give me my pit admission wrist band at the entrance, and nobody seemed to know where I had to go to get one) and I thought I'd be bored alone, but it was actually pretty interesting to be there by myself. Not that I wouldn't have enjoyed company! *eyes certain people*

Oh, oh! And a word of advice if you're going--I don't know what your venue will allow, but we were able to bring in one sealed bottle of water. However, they removed the all the caps and threw them away as soon as we got in, so I'd recommend bringing an extra screw cap with you. It totally SUCKED because I couldn't put the bottle back in my bag (until I made myself a make-shift top out of a napkin, a hair tie and a ziplock bag). I talked with my mom for about 20 minutes about the stupid bottle situation. Heh.

SO. Music. I missed Madina Lake and apparently Styles of Beyond wasn't there, so the first band I saw was:

The Bled: I also saw this band back in May when they opened for My Chem. They were fun enough last time, but I enjoyed them a lot more today. It was nice to see them with a smaller crowd, I think. I tend to reserve judgement until I can hear actual *words* through the screams, which I still didn't get much of today, but whatever. I enjoyed watching them.

Saosin: The guitarist had a neon orange guitar!!! It was awesome. (What? I'm easy). No really, I thought this band was great live. I'd only heard one of their songs before, and I'm pretty sure they didn't play it at the show, but they were engaging anyway. The lead singer had a great stage presence, the music was intriguing, and it didn't hurt that they were pretty damn hot.

Mindless Self Indulgence: I can't decide if I liked this band's music or not, but they were really fun to watch. The lead singer is CRAZY and totally seems full of himself, but in an entertaining way. At one point he told us that all tight-pants-wearing-emos stuff their pants, and proceeded to pull a rolled up pair of briefs out of his crotch and throw them to the crowd. LOL. I was kind of mesmerized by the bassist, too. She (yes, she! There were actual girls in this band!) wore this punked out school girl outfit, complete with pigtails, and totally rocked the bass.

Then I headed over to the mainstage and saw:

Julien-K: Meh. Didn't have much of an opinion. They were pretty electronic-sounding, which doesn't usually appeal to me. Though I was amused by the two bandmembers trying desperately to rock out and look cool while playing the keyboards.

Placebo: I was disappointed that they didn't play their one song that I'm relatively familiar with (Protegé Moi), but I still really liked seeing them. Honestly, I was starting to get worn out at this point, so a part of me was just counting down the hours until MCR. I know a lot of you like Placebo, so I wish I had been more focused for them. :(

HIM: Again, it was hard to concentrate when my legs were dying, but they seemed interesting enough. The lead singer wore a newsboy cap, which is always a plus. ;)

Taking Back Sunday: So here's where I started to perk up again. DUDE. WHY DID NOBODY TELL ME THEY ARE SO AWESOME? I think I fell in love with Adam. (Also the rest of the band, but I don't know their names). He was so flamboyant and obsessed with throwing his mic around and he talked all seductively and NGHHHH. Also, apparently I knew two of their songs, but didn't know they were by them. Songs I like! WIN. So, who wants to upload some TBS for me now?

MY CHEMICAL FUCKING ROMANCE: This was my second time seeing them. I'm going to attempt to keep the CRAZY CAPSLOCK OF FLAIL to a minimum, but know that they deserve every amount of possible squee. I am filled with so much love for these boys, it's a little ridiculous.

-Bob was out on stage for about 15 minutes before the band came out, checking his drums. It was very exciting.

-Before they came on, I was maybe 12 people away from the barrier, but somehow within the first couple songs I got pushed waaaaaay closer and ended up with only one person in front of me. OMG. That was the closest I had ever been to any band, and shit they are pretty.

-The sun was angled directly at the stage, so Gerard wore sunglasses for a few songs. I have insane love for sunglasses-wearing!Gerard, so that made me really happy.

-Also, his hair is getting longer and it looks AMAZING. Actually, all of their hair was absolutely gorgeous. These things are important, you know? ;)

-Did I mention how incredibly attracted I am to every member of this band? *facepalm*

-As I've learned this summer, one of the best feelings in the world is going to a concert and being able to sing along with every song. Especially when you get to scream them at the top of your lungs and jump around like a lunatic. It's very freeing.

-Frank playing guitar is hypnotizing. He was on the floor at least once.

-During one of the first couple songs, I wonder if something happened to his guitar because I looked over and he wasn't playing, but instead holding up the mic stand for the crowd to sing. Then he ran off stage and didn't come back till the next song. Hmmm. Puzzling.

-Gerard did WAY MORE hip shaking this concert than last May. IT WAS PRETTY AWESOME, GUYS.

-Frank poured half a bottle of Gatorade on the floor at one point.

-OMG, DURING PRISON, GERARD TOTALLY STUCK HIS HAND DOWN THE FRONT OF FRANK'S SHIRT FOR ABOUT 15 SECONDS. I SQUEALED A LOT AND FELT LIKE A DORK, BUT IT WAS SO HOT, YOU HAVE NO IDEA. SORRY ABOUT BOLDING THIS, BUT I WANTED TO MAKE SURE YOU DIDN'T MISS IT.

-Gerard did a lot of slow, rhythmic, repetetive talky things before he'd start singing a song.

-He also refered to the crowed as "fuckers" a bazillion times. hee.

-REMEMBER HOW I WAS REALLY REALLY CLOSE TO THEM AND THEY ARE THE PRETTIEST PEOPLE EVER AND I LOVE THEM A LOT? AND WOW, THEY ARE TALENTED. IT KIND OF BLOWS MY MIND.

-They closed with Cancer, and everyone but Gerard left the stage (without saying goodbye :|), and he gave the sincere "this is for anyone who's been affected by this disease" speech, for which I love him dearly. Then he sang it, and his voice was so beautiful. I very nearly cried at the end, and I am *so* not a cryer.

-In general, this show felt a lot more playful than the one in May, probably because they were performing as MCR instead of TBP. Both shows were fabulous, of course, but it was great to see them a bit looser this time around.

-Sorry pretty much every bullet point was about Frank or Gerard. I was closest to them, and they are my favorites, so. You know.

-And there you have it. Best concert of my life. I even went and bought a shirt afterwards (which I kind of really love).

But wait, there was still:

Linkin Park: Wow. I liked them way more than I thought I would. Not only did I find their music enjoyable, but they seemed like really nice, decent guys. And they were so excited about the beginning of their tour (this was the first PR show) and using biodiesel buses (which I think is awesome)! It was very cute.

And then I spent at least 10 minutes looking for my car, got stuck in major traffic, bought gross McDonalds french fries because I was starving and they were the only place open, and came home.

So, to recap: I want to marry My Chemical Romance, and the other highlights were Saosin and Taking Back Sunday. And this is the best day ever. And I totally changed 'was' to 'is' in that last sentence so it could be an MCR song title.

If you had any reservations about going, just push those aside and buy a stupid ticket. IT IS WORTH IT, OMG.

Ugh, I don't feel like proof reading. I'm just gonna post anyway and hope everything's at least semi-readable.

*falls asleep*
