CHARACTER

✧ NAME: Spock
✧ SERIES: Star Trek XI (or the 2009 Movie)
✧ HISTORY: Ta-dah.
✧ TIMELINE: Day after movie end boarding the enterprise, and becoming First Officer. B)
✧ PERSONALITY: Spock might be misunderstood as a being purely logical person and not expressing any sort of emotions. Seriously, though, tell a joke about his mom or poke about his mom and you'll definitely find out otherwise. He will not be afraid to show some anger, then.

But in all seriousness, Spock is a very logical person who does not typically let emotion impede on anything he does. He does very well (most of the time) at turning off his emotions and focusing strictly on logic and regulation. He does believe in following the rules, and he will cite regulation. He is good at reading people. He says to Kirk at one point, "I would cite regulation, but I know you would simply ignore it.", which shows that he understands the type of person he is once he is around him for the limited amount of time during which the film takes place. He has respect for people who are higher ranking than he is. This ties into his desire to follow the rules and regulations. And -- of course, it is logical. Some may think, though, that this means he is incapable of thinking on his own path, and following his own desires, which isn't exactly true.

Spock chose to go to Starfleet Academy rather than the Vulcan Science Academy, though the Science Academy would have been the logical choice. He turned down the academy because they treated the fact that he is half-human as a disadvantage. He does not appreciate being disrespected, and while it seems like he could take it emotionally -- he doesn't. He remains calm and collected the entire time.

Spock respects his father, but loves his mother. He tries to understand why his father chose his mother, and when his father says it was "logical", he took that at what he said. He values his mother's opinion more than anything else. He asks her if she would be disappointed if he completed training to purge himself of his emotions. She answers that she would be proud no matter what he did, and he decided to make his own path. His mother has always been the most powerful trigger at slipping him into emotions. When he was a child, others called his mother "that human whore" and he was definitely happy to finish that fight. When she dies, while he doesn't express it at first, those around him understand that this loss for him has definitely hurt him. Uhura asks him if he's okay, and he brushes it off. But after he maroons Kirk, and becomes Captain, he seems to be emotionally able to lead. When Kirk returns he uses Spock's mother, mocking his love for her, to get him angry -- and unfit to lead. He dismisses himself, still pulling the logical move and following regulation, even when he is in an emotional situation.

His relationship with Kirk is tricky. It's very love-hate. He understands that he's his leader, and his Captain, so he'll be respectful and follow him. And there is potential for eventual friendship, though I wouldn't call them friends, quite yet. This is all because of the rocky start. They work together well, and he's basically a perfect foil for Kirk. Balancing him out and pulling him back when he needs to, and allowing Kirk to show him that it is okay to show a bit of feelings.

"It's logic, Spock. I thought you'd like it."
"No, not really. Not this time."

✧ ABILITIES/POWERS: He displays very few abilities within the film, actually -- I mean, once you get down to the bare-bones of it all. He definitely has others as a (half) Vulcan, but they were never shown in the film. But, now to the actual abilities he does show. First off - the Vulcan nerve pinch. Yeah, rendering someone unconscious either near instantly or after brief delay, it is extremely effective. He uses it on Kirk to knock him out, it seems to last for more than a few moments, as well, as it gives him the chance to maroon the guy. Additionally, he's skilled in hand to hand combat, both as a half-Vulcan and as a Starfleet Officer. He was even pretty kick-ass when he was small. He also is skilled with weaponry (phasers -- and by association guns). He's able to comprehend technology, fly ships, and understand quite a lot of things. Oh -- have I mentioned yet that he's pretty damn logical?
✧ TIME OF ARRIVAL: Day.

✧ MASK DESIGN: this except in blue. No fuss. Very Spock. ;)
✧ PLACE OF SOLACE: His home from the Shi'Kahr region of Vulcan. Shown very briefly in the film. :)

SAMPLES

✧ FIRST PERSON: I am aware that I am in an unfamiliar place; however, the message left at the nightstand was very vague. There were no names, only titles. I am searching for some answers to several questions so I can best assess the situation and find a method of transportation in order to return home. How I managed to get here is illogical, and I have not experienced technology similar to within the mirror before. I am sure the others I have seen on these devices will be able to answer the necessary questions.

● What is the name of this location?
● Who are the King and Queen? The note simply provided their titles, but no names were provided. Is it a logical conclusion to make that they are the ones responsible for my displacement to this location?
● Who is "The Exile"? Or perhaps it is a "what"? The signature on the note left behind would imply it is a "whom".
● I require any information about a possible transportation home. If there is a way in, there is a way out. Any other way would be illogical.

Additionally, I am looking for anyone that was aboard the Enterprise at the time I was taken. I am First Officer Spock.
✧ THIRD PERSON: He woke up in a bed that was much nicer than anything on the Enterprise. The yellow walls and clean white sheets were not the first sign that he had been plucked up from his current location and moved to a far less familiar one. Everything about that fact was unsettling to him because he could not find a logical explanation. The last he remembered, the Enterprise was not at a point of landing. It would have been impossible for new passengers to board and remove him from the location. And he was sure if they had found a way to remove him from the Enterprise and have him remain sleeping the entire time, they were probably someone that he should not handle independently.

He removed himself from the bed, keeping his thoughts in line and remaining calm. He approached the mirror in the room, but only looked in it briefly as it seemed to be displaying how things were going back on the enterprise. He circled around the bed towards the night stand and moved to pick up a note. He examined it quickly, picking up the message that it had, and then picking up the small device.

It seemed rather - antique in his opinion. Had a place, which was able to relocate a First Officer from a very secure location, fallen behind on such simple technology as communication devices? He wondered about that, putting the device into his pocket and decided to think on what could have happened, rewinding and going over the past few days. He couldn’t place anything that seemed odd upon boarding the ship. Even Kirk seemed pleasant enough when he had boarded and made the request to be his first officer, although part of him wanted to toss the blame at his Captain.

He couldn’t place what it was that seemed, felt even, different about this place, and the fact that Spock couldn’t understand the mechanics of it rattled him. There was nothing logical about this place, but there was certainly a logical way to handle it. Spock removed the device from his pocket, turned it on, and decided to inquire for any help that people were willing and able to offer.
