Like I need another hobby...

So a while back when we had extra money I picked up a learn to spin kit on E-bay. It has been sitting on a shelf looking decorative for a while now. and with the extra time - no work at home stuff for a couple of weeks (the bills are unhappy for that). I was interested in keeping myself occupied and thought hey.. this is the time.
I had looked into taking a class, but $$ would be an issue.
So I chose to scour the internet to find what I can find. I have a favorites folder of at last count 14 pages with info. Links to youtube,  how to make one, a knitty spin article, a group in ravelry, and as you can well imagine pages of search results and numerous how-to pages. Oh and the recent Y-knit got me a little interested too.

I fell a bit silly deciding to make yarn, I have bins and bins of it already why would I want ot make it too. Well I guess the answer is why not make yarn. When looking into things you can find the fiber in bags and make it a thickness you want, that is when you get the hang of it. I am unsure how I will be at it. I am in the research phase as the kit came with a small amount of fiber. A friend of the family has a spinning wheel and would be happy to tech me. I may cave if the internet resources are unhelpful and I need visual guidance.

So that is what I have been up to. watch my tivo's live in my bubble that is my home, while trying not to obsess about lack of money etc.. about the crappy job situation (while the new manager and I - we are coming to an understanding, but really these people that call in need to use those two brain cells, rub them together to complete a coherent sentence so I can help them find what they want, do I sound like a mindreader to you???).
I did get a good e-mail with work for the engineer. That is a good thing. I will just put some steaks on the george forman, make a pasta roni maybe a can of vege and call it dinner. Quick and easy.

Oh and how is your life??? Hugs, *C
