Pumkin Pie from scratch
As you know I listen to podcasts, mostly knitting related. The first one that I found was called Cast-On with Brenda Dayne.
She is a traveler, moving from place to place but originally from the US. She lives in Wales now, has for a few years and I came to find out that in the UK they do not sell pumpkin in the can. She and her partner have been purchasing pumpkins using them for decor at Halloween and then using them to make pie from scratch. Here is her recipe for pie from scratch. I know I probably wouldn't go to quite that much trouble, but it has become a tradition for the kiddo and I to bake them at th eholidays. Perhaps if we really were desperate we would create from scratch too.
And because it is pie related you get the halloween pic of mine.
