The day that I had my MMR

Feb 10, 2005 20:52

Today I had to have my MMR booster jab at the surgery. I walked up there freezing my butt off because it was so cold. When I arrived outside the surgery this car pulled up and out of it stepped this kind of gothic looking guy. I walked past him and into the surgery, I said my name and the receptionist said that I should go directly through and wait outside the nurses’ room. I went through and my heart started to go well fast. As usual I began thinking of all the bad things that can happen with injections when in comes the gothic boy. As he sat down I realised he looked familiar. Then after a minute of silence I realised that he was Damien Quorington this guy who went to my middle school but had like no friends and I think found it hard to make friends, he used to call me Ciawon. However by the time I realised this it was too late to strike up a conversation so I just sat through 5 minutes of painful silence. This silence was broken by the old nurse coming out and asking one of us to come through. I offered Damien the chance to go first but he said that because I was there first I should go. I went through scared for my life because this is the mean woman; she prepared the needle directly in front of me so I was petrified. She began saying that because I was born in 1988 I need this booster because everyone born in that year onwards is susceptible to the new outbreaks. I was like I was born in 1987 not 1988 she then says oh looked at the computer and said I need it anyway. She then plunged the needle into my arm making a squish sound. I left feeling in pain because as always I tensed my arm.
