The day of the first performance

Nov 29, 2004 22:12

Can’t really be bothered to write up the actual day so I will skip right to the performance. After having a fat go at my parents because they were winding me up I went to Sel’s house to go to drama. While in her house I went to the toilet for the 3rd time since I got ready which was like 10 minutes earlier. She was wonder where her mum was so rang her and it turns out her mum was in Tesco’s shopping so we were going to be late. I rang home and there were no cars also dad wasn’t in so we had to get a lift off Liz Knight who is now an official peach.

We eventually arrived at school late and began getting ready. During the time between getting ready and the warm up I went to the toilet 7 times. We went into the dance studio to get some pictures and I got talking to Heaney. Then in came the coolest person ever, John Stuart-Smith he was like I forgot my keys and then was desperate to hang round lingering like a bad smell perving at the dance girls.

Once ready we began the warm up, once again I found the whole thing piss my pants funny.

Here are the highlights of the night;
• When we began putting the makeup on I didn’t want to look the same so I put a little extra on and at the end Kiran told me that I looked caked in it.
• During my hypnosis scene when they pushed me forward I scraped my arm on the flood taking of my carpet burn mark and making it bleed, I was in pain.
• We were getting off stage in a blackout and Sel was taking ages so I pushed her and she went into the door making the loudest noise!
• Towards the end the music cue came on way too early so I began walking out but realised I was way too early but too far to get off stage so just stood in full view of the audience like a knob
• Also at the very end the clapping didn’t begin so I was just about to run on to silence so backstage we began clapping ourselves which was shameful

This didn’t happen during the play but after during my life home Sel and her dad had a bit of an argument about Buster being round and my god it was followed by the longest awkward silence ever.
