MINDFUCK MINDFUCK
i. So I just went to see Moon! It was a good movie. Go see it. Just be sure to be in the mood for something a touch morbid.
Most interestingly, though, is that I just discovered that the guy who wrote the story for and directed this movie is none other than David Bowie's first son. There was a time a year or so ago when I was quite enamored of David Bowie, but even regardless, that is just about one of the most mind-fuck-inducing factoids I've ever heard. I mean you just don't expect the director of the movie you just watched to just so happen to be David Bowie's son. WHAT.
ii. I watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind yesterday-- I'd seen most of it before, but never the whole thing. It was amazing. It made me cry twice, and I NEVER FUCKING CRY OVER MOVIES (but, then again, I was already in a pretty weepy mood whilst watching). It's absolutely amazing and if you haven't seen it yet what the fuck are you waiting for?? The music for the movie is also incredible and done by Jon Brion, who is basically Of Montreal's biggest fan, in case you wanted more random celeb-connection factoids today.
iii. IT IS GOING TO TAKE ME DAYS TO GET THROUGH ALL OF THESE ontd_startrek ANARCHY DAY POSTS. OH MY FUCKING GOD, YOU GUYS. BUT, I SHOULD USE THIS AS AN EXCUSE TO FINALLY POST THOSE FUCKING GIFS THAT I'VE BEEN STALLING ON POSTING FOREVER.
