what came next was some frustration, but realization that I hadnt forgotten much, but enough to hit stumbles.
Vista is OFF my laptop. I got sick of the way it acted, and decided to do something about it.......so I did...
os[Linux 2.6.27-9-generic x86_64] distro[Ubuntu "intrepid" 8.10] cpu[2 x AMD Turion(tm) X2 Dual-Core Mobile RM-70 (AuthenticAMD) @ 2.00GHz] mem[Physical: 3.6GB, 72.1% free] disk[Total: 219.9GB, 92.8% free] video[ATI Technologies Inc RS780M/RS780MN [Radeon HD 3200 Graphics]] sound[HDA-Intel - HDA ATI SB1: HDA-Intel - HDA ATI HDMI]
that's right back to Linux. got everything working, just have a few non-necessities to see if I want to mess around with. considering I dont really game on the laptop, but use it for multimedia and for doing stuff in bed...it works for me.
