Spring cleaning

It was a good weekend. I actually had some free time to get some projects started.

Friday I went out with co-workers, Seng from climbing and Brandon from dancing to see Iron Man. Good popcorn movie, we went for drinks afterwards, then appetizers and more drinks... It was a good night.

Saturday I spent the day chilling out, cleaning, and hitting all the vintage stores for some white go-go boots. Didn't find them. Could've just gone to stripper shop, but wanted to spend under $20, and I wanted to check out the vintage stores anyways. Found gorgeous 40s Chinese dresses at Valentino's Zoot Suit Connection, fun store in general. But for $75 - $100, well, that will have to wait. Stopped by the furniture store to see if they still had matching end tables for my living room. They did, and they were on clearance! So now I have two new end tables, but one got a screw broken in transport, so I can't fully assemble it. :(

Saturday night was a Austin Powers themed wine party. It was fun, I was well-behaved and didn't piss anybody off. I stayed too late, though, and had an episode in the bathroom. Slept on the couch, came home at 6 am, napped til 10, and then went out. Tried to find a replacement screw for my table, didn't. Got supplies to mount my flat-screen (small, 19") to the wall above my fireplace, but since I don't have a drill, I can't finish the job. I'll see if Alan has a drill.

So why is this post called spring cleaning? I am ridding my condo of all things not mine. I have returned two shirts and a belt. I have one jacket to go. And I'm getting rid of old appliances and fixtures (2 lights and a TV), and clothes that no longer fit me, or I just don't like them. I did laundry, dishes, and cleaned my stovetop. I cleaned my sink, but it got dirty again right away.

Now I just have to do my taxes (I filed for an extension, I'm ok), get my heater fixed (yes, the heater), and get my chairs refinished. I should be good to go by the end of the month, when I have my cowboy wine party. It'll be fun. :)
