We performed again last night. I screwed up so many times! My friends came and were really distracting! They don't mean to be, but they were the most...unique-looking bunch there. A bunch of long-haired hippies! My friend John was a real distraction for most of us. He was too attentive, I guess! He just sat there very still and...never blinked. At all. And during one of my songs I looked over at them and they were ALL swaying back and forth. No one else around them was swaying. I laughed in the middle of my song. After that I couldn't look at any of them. After the show I said that I could never take them anywhere ever again and they asked me why. I told them they shouldn't have swayed back and forth because it was funny and really distracting. Then they said, "we were?" They had no idea they were swaying back and forth during the song. Groupthink. Totally weird. They were so sweet, though! They brought me a dozen peach roses and a big plushie rose from Elaine, who could not come. I received many compliments that were genuine! It made my heart sing. Ian said that the play was very effective and that he had a lump in his throat several times. I was a little worried about how they would like it, but they all loved it! They said that it was beautiful and very emotive. I'm so proud! I'm very glad that I was a part of Quilters after all. Even though I'm behind in school, the experience has been worth it. I got to know some very very cool people that I will never forget. It was very fun getting to know all those lovely ladies involved in the making of it! I'm so proud of all of you!
