It did take quite a bit of convincing to get Father to allow me to leave during the latter half of summer (and I do know he likes having me around to help him, which is something I regret not being able to do during all of this break), but being able to see America is just something I couldn't resist. ... Well yeah, technically I am, but Father is nice enough n' all to provide me a place to stay during holidays, and a way to buy my supplies n' such. I wouldn't even be at Hogwarts if it weren't for him putting up with me, y'know? He likes me around during the summer to help him, and to take care of my bro's n' sisses, so I figure it's always best to ask in these situations, even if I don't necessarily have to.

Oh, I see, I guess that makes sense, I'm sure he appreciates it, though it sounds like he's more than happy to let you enjoy yourself. Wish I could say the same for my caretaker.

Yes, Father has always been so generous to me. Can't even say in words how much I appreciate him, really...

Oh yes I am! It just took a lot more persuading than what I imagine most would have to do.

Well I'm glad you put the extra work in! It always seems you're getting held back from having much fun, so it'll be nice to have you along for a change.

Well I knew there might be reprocussions if I didn't show good results. And I'm happy I get to come along as well, though I imagine Conrad is sulking at how I can sign my own permission slip.
