Act 10.
Well! Now that I'm finally free enough to write in my journal, I suppose I will! Never mind the fact that I'm only doing this because I can't sleep right now.
The break we got from school was much needed, and very fun, I gotta say! It was nice to see my family again. And apparently the trip to the vacation home was a treat for me! In all the... er, excitement from the past couple of weeks, I completely forgot about my birthday, hah! I'm still not used to it being a special day. I wonder if I ever will be...
I turned 18 on Friday, though. Apparently I'm legal in America now! Good to know if I ever head over there for anything, heh. Father had one of the maids help my bros n' sisses make a huge chocolate cake for me, which was delicious to say the least. I was actually able to bring a good bit of it back to school with me on the train, which I only just now finished the last piece of today. Talk about a good, long celebration, heh.
Anyway, despite having all that fun, I am glad to be back here. I feel like the fresh start after a vacation is just what we all needed, and it's nice to see all my friends again.
It sure is late, though. I'm gonna regret staying up this late tomorrow morning. I suppose I should try to get some sleep...
