Talk of the Akatsuki
Characters :: Konoha Ninja (chuunin level and above + Naruto XD), Temari (since she's often found between Suna and Konoha) and possibly Kazekage as well (depends on where he resides at the moment).
Setting :: Outside of the Hokage's office, having just recieved information on how the Akatsuki are moving and where they could be headed next.
Rating :: Let's keep this at PG. Mild swearing is fine, *is sooo not looking at Temari* (<3)
Summary :: Leaf has recieved information on possible Akatsuki members approaching the village. How will they react? What can be done to stop their advance?
Sakura frowned at the news, slowly trudging down the stairs from the Hokage's office. Being that she was Tsunade's apprentice gave her free access to anything in the Hokage tower, including overhearing things that were not meant to be heard by a ninja of her level just yet.
Her fist clenched open and closed as she remembered Gaara's lifeless body, the Shukaku extracted from his body. However, instead of Gaara lying there lifeless, she imagined Naruto. She gripped the handrail too hard in fear and anger that a violent snap broke her from her thoughts, a huge chunk of the rail broken off. Sakura sighed, chucking the piece of splintered wood, "I won't let it happen."
Coming to a stop, she caught site of a small crowd of gathering jounins and chuunins. Apparently they heard the 'rumors' that were already spread by some individual who happened to 'overhear' things. It was exactly that the Hokage didn't need. More people breathing down her back, which meant more sake and an even drunker Tsunade.
This was going to be a long day indeed.
