I'm almost tempted to post more on here than on xanga. I write on xanga to a friend list of 35 and get 1 response, I write on here to a friend list of about 10 and get like 7 responses! Now I know who my real friends are! ;)

I just set up a SunGard Disaster Recovery package on a NT 4.0 box. It has no monitor, so I set up a VNC server to run as a service.

After lunch I get to go down to Data Center 1 where I will progressively mark down all voltage, amps, or wattage for all systems plugged in. Then I will turn the total power usage into my boss for configuring our new datacenter in a new building we will be moving to.

All in all, I think that I will be learning a bit more with these new projects. This friday at least I will help set up a rack of 5 new Sun Servers. During lunch break I get to read my Hebrew Grammar book too! Woohoo! :

I realize that not many of you know what I am talking about, but it's ok because I'm just writing to think, not as a teaching guide.

I also am currently in discourse with several bible scholars and attempting to defend my position of 'literary framework' on the Genesis 1:1-2:4 account. So far there has been much miscommunication as there are many people on the list untrained in hermeneutics, but we got to a point of understanding today, now I will begin to go through ancient near east cosmogenies and develop a more complete argument for my understanding.

School starts on tuesday, and I am still frightened of the classes. However, I want to get a 4.0. This is going to be a lot of work, but necessary I think for my future. On another theological note I've had numerous theological conversations with Kevin Boddecker in the past few days and I understand his theology a lot better now, and possibly my own as well.

My church last night had another Q&A time with our prospective pastor. Everyone loved him, I think it's almost conclusive that he will be voted in and begin to shepherd us. I asked one question last night "What theologian do you believe has influenced you the most in your studies?" He responded something to the effect "You probably wouldn't recognize most of them, but here are some of my teachers from Capital and they were helpful as you could also see their lives." I wish he has just given me the benefit of the doubt and answered the question how I wanted it, but it's understandable he went that route. Next time I see him I'll get to ask some of my favorite questions. Such as :
1) What do you believe the gentile believer's relationship to the New Covenant is?
2) How does that relationship play out in the spiritual life of the individual?
3) In your systematic theology you are most likely dispensational, but where in that broad field do you lie? Closer to Ryrie's revised views? MacArthur's? Perhaps even a form of promise theology?

Lunch time!
