Unexciting news flash...
So my folks should arrive on Sunday or Monday night. They are driving out to Florida again! They are bringing a table with them from my grandparents house that I'll use in my living room to replace the little chest that my old boss gave me for free when she moved back to California. The dilema? Well, my parents refinished the coffee table and I feel bad putting it by my 25 year old couch that I've been meaning to get re-upholstered for 2 years. So I had my couch picked up last week and have been sitting on the floor on an old quilt for about 7 days now... hopefully it will be finished by the time they arrive!
Other news - I have been playing the Heather Harp that came from Albuquerque a LOT more! I actually broke down and bought a padded carrying case for it - so now it's more portable! I really don't play my little 19-stringed one these days just because the Heather has better sound AND sharping levers! But I'm honestly thinking that I might just finally get a full sized folk harp like I've been thinking of doing since I lived back in Goleta. I'm sure my neighbors would appreciate it - it would certainly be quieter than my piano! Hrm... I need to get that tuned, too.
We'll see about the harp. I have a ton of "loyalty" points that I can use to get stuff on Amazon... so now I'm waiting to see if I have enough to pay for shipping a harp that's on sale on Amazon right now. Wish me luck!
