OMG, MY CAT KEEPS TRYING TO EAT MY HAIR. Does anyone else have this problem? It's especially bad after I've washed my hair and am letting it dry naturally. Then the little snit practically falls all over himself in his attempts to sneak up behind me. The first time he did this was cute and hysterical, but now it's just creepy and worrisome. Our old three-legged one used to go for my hair if my head was within reach of his mouth and paws. He'd grab it, give it a chomp or two and then usually let go once he figured out it wasn't something killable or particularly tasty. I don't know, maybe get him one of those feather toys that you could wave around at him to distract him from the hair chewing? Or a water pistol to discourage him?

OT, but since I have finally got around to actually reading the Sharpe novels: I am enjoying them quite a bit. Book!Sharpe is just as much of a badass, is fond of constantly calling everyone a bastard, and has so far tried to have Obadiah dispatched by several types of animals in India.

Okay, thanks for letting me know someone else has gone through this. Yeah, he does tend to cease and desist once I let him know I'm upset with what he's doing, but it's the persistence that's getting to me. I have this fear that one night he's going to have a go at it while I'm asleep and I'll wake up with a bald spot.

Cool! I loved the way Sean would say "bastard." He always made it such a dirty word. Remind me, who's Obadiah again? Was that Pete Postlewaite's character?

Yeah, I don't think they mean to be annoying. Not in that particular instance, at any rate. He probably won't do it if you're asleep, because I think it's the hair just hanging there that gets them. If it's being still along with your head on the pillow I doubt he'll even bother.

Yes, and he's just the same in the books too, twitching and all.

Okay, okay, this is really making me want to watch all the Sharpe dvds again.

That's Lily Cole in your icon, right?
