The last month of my life

Four weeks ago tomorrow, I started a new job.

My new job rocks in a major way. I love the people I work with, except for one woman (and most of you have heard the stories). Fortunately, everyone in the office is united in our dislike of this woman, so that makes it more tolerable. I'm loving what I do, and I'm loving getting to know a hospital environment.

In the past few weeks, I: (1) joined in on cubicalgirl's yard sale and made some money while simultaneously getting rid of junk, (2) seamed about four more afghans, (3) bought a new mattress from dragonintherain, (4) decided to start going to Weight Watchers with babyraven, and (5) went to Rhinebeck!!!!!

Rhinebeck was amazing, awesome, fun, inspiring, exhilarating... all the wonderful things a sheep and wool festival SHOULD be. I found out that rachel_pandora is a llama-, alpaca-, and sheep-whisperer. I thought she was going to crash the car laughing so hard when I told her the story of CrazyPants (thanks to crowyhead for naming the psycho at work). I've only seen her once since we graduated, and that was at an SnB, so we didn't really get a lot of time to catch up and really talk about our lives, loves, relationships, etc.

I made significant progress in my goal to reach SABLE. I bought presents for this Christmas, yarn for a cardigan for myself, yarn for a Christmas present for this year for my sister, and yarn for a beaded hat/wrist warmer set for my sister for NEXT Christmas. Also, if I end up finishing all of the Christmas knitting for my mom and sister for this year, then the non-knitted Christmas presents I bought for them at Rhinebeck this weekend will be pushed to birthday presents for NEXT year.

I'll try to blog more later about job stuff and life stuff and other stuff.

Right now, I'm trying to get afghans seamed up since I've agreed on a date with Victory Junction for afghan delivery. Anyone up for a seaming party in the next few weeks?
