Five Ways to Tell You're Reading a Fic by circ_bamboo
1.) It's a pairing you've never heard of, despite the fact that it's a huge frickin' fandom. In that way where half the characters are either from an unaired pilot that was cannibalized to form a two-part episode later, or from one single tie-in novel.
2.) Rampant colon and/or semi-colon abuse.
3.) Random OCs that wander in and out of mutually-exclusive stories.
4.) The author wrote commentfic on her own story.
5.) The author blames the entire story on boosette.

1. Which is your favorite fic?
At the moment, not gonna lie, it's Nine Years Later. I tend to be happiest with whatever I've written most recently, but NYL was so long that I feel like it gets some sort of special mention for The Longest Thing I've Ever Managed To Sustain.
2. Which is your best-received fic?
I think also Nine Years Later, although the comments are spread over several different places. People also seem to have liked If A Person Should Ever Like a Person... (Uhura/Pike).
3. Which is your worst-received fic?
Er. I have one with exactly one comment. It was sort of an experiment. I don't know why I even posted it, but it has a comment so I'm not going to take it down. Also not linking to it.
4. Which is your angstiest fic?
The Best- and Worst-Kept Secrets in the 'Fleet, or, as I usually call it in my head, PTSD Fic #1.
5. Which is your funniest fic?
Maybe Chris Pike and the Terrible, Horrible, No-Good, Very Bad (Hair) Day. Or the Jim Comes Out to His Mom ficlet here.
6. Smuttiest?
Oh, hell. Um. This one (Pike/Boyce/McCoy) is the dirtiest, although While You're Dancing and Nine Years Later have the longest, most complete sex scenes.
7. Fluffiest?
Er. Probably Four Months After That.
8. Have you ever made someone cry with a fic?
I hope not! I just generally don't write weepies. Maybe with laughter.
9. Which fic frustrates you the most?
None of the ones that are posted particularly frustrate me. I mean, they're posted. I'm done with frustration then. I've got a handful that are all stuck at various points in the WIP bucket, but of course stuff that's in process is frustrating.
Also, I find writing virgin!sex really frustrating, if that's a better answer to this question.
10. Which fic was the most fun to write?
I don't know. All the ones with smut were kinda fun to write, and that's, like, all of them. :)
11. Who is your favorite OC you've ever created?
Of the official original characters, Ally. But I really like my Cait.
12. Are you better at oneshot or multipart?
Uh. One-shots? I guess.
13. What character do you think you're the best at portraying?
Probably Cait Barry. She's definitely the most consistent.
14. What character is the most difficult to portray?
Spock. I don't really get him at all. This is why I don't see him very often.
