Happy, Blessed, Wonderful Thanksgiving

Nov 21, 2007 14:43

My favorite holiday! So before my family arrives and I disappear into the Kitchen of OMG Cooking and the Sofa of I Can't Believe I Ate All That for the next 48 hours, please enjoy my favorite hymn of praise and thanksgiving from-- well, not the approved hymnal, but from Louis Armstrong.

Blessings to you all! If it's not your national day of thanks, go ahead and pretend it is! I'll eat an extra portion of pumpkin pie for you. You want that with the whipped cream, I assume?

Listen here.

What A Wonderful World

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They're really saying I love you.

I hear babies crying, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself
What a wonderful world.
