So I don't know if any of you watched the Packers Vikes game on Monday but his performance stood out for two reasons.
1. He's going to be 40 and he's still one of the best qb's in the league, how is he still doing it?
1a. In all the years he's been a starting qb how does the rest of the league still mostly consist of shitty backups and poor starters. I mean how is there such a talent gap between the Peyton Mannings of the world and the JaMarcus Russels? It seems that in the 20 years that have passed since Brett joined the league that there should be more quality qb's yet it also seems like they are only recently coming out of the college ranks like Joe Flacco, Matt Ryan etc.
2. Brett Farve is a dick. The way he hammed it up running around and celebrating his touchdowns has earned him a bitter spot in my heart and being a Packers fan I can only imagine it being 1x10^341323 worse. It really couldn't be worse if he showed up at their house and just kicked them in the nuts repeatedly. If Tom Brady ever does this I'll probably cry and burn an effigy of him before every Pats Jets game. Oddly enough I didn't care that much when Bledsoe left to the Bills but maybe that was a factor of his personality and the fact that we had just won a superbowl with Tom but hey whatever.
Lucky for you James, it looks like Kyle Orton isn't too bad after all. And yes Brian the Steelers will only be a wild card team and may not even make the playoffs if they keep blowing leads in the 4th quarter.
Predictions:
AFC:
Ravens 12-4
Colts 11-5
Pats 11-5
Broncos 11-5
Steelers 10-6
Chargers 9-7
NFC:
Giants 13-3
Saints 12-4
Vikes:12-4
Seahawks 9-7
Hawks 10-6
Eagles 10-6
Superbowl: Ravens v. Vikes, Ravens winning
As much as it pains me to say it I don't think the Pats can consistently put up the offensive numbers needed to win games and that when we fall short that's it.
