So i really haven't been on lj in forever and there was quite a wealth of posts as I got back to it. Riveting stuff really.

I just finished watching the Pats game and have only a few things to say . . .
-I love Randy Moss
-There is nothing to soothe a lost first round pick like a superbowl ring
-and how is this whole situation going to go wrong?

I feel like the injury bug has killed us in many seasons and we have always done pretty well but with a lot of high priced free agents as the key to our new revival I just hope none of them get injured.

Last weekend I went out to a shooting range with some of my friends to see what that was all about and it was certainly eye-opening. As a person who has never held a gun let alone fired one I felt it would probably be good for me to know my way around one and not blow off my head. Pretty fun times. My friend has a 9mm which we shot a few times and surprisingly I am actually a crack shot with it which is pretty cool. However, when he brought out his uncles MP5 it was a whole nother ball game. That thing is pretty intense and I was spraying bullets everywhere when I had it in fully automatic. The only one who could really shoot it well at any distance longer that 10 yds was my friend Pat who is also 6'2 and like 250 lbs. That thing recoiled like a mother and he was the only one who could keep it down when it started kicking.

This weekend was pretty interesting as well, me and my friends went out to this bar Brownies on Friday night and it was pretty massive like 500 people in there. What was weird was how many people I recognized as it seemed to be made of almost all Villanovans. Pretty weird. Anyways after a while we decided to head out to a party that was taking place in one of my friends apartments' courtyard. This place was really weird cause it was some time of Art Co-op and it was basically a commune. Tons of hippies, tons of messed up art, and tons of music. The band playing there was sweet although i wish i could remember the name. Anyways, they were half band and half circus sideshow. They had guys breathing fire, twirling fire, laying on beds of nails, and tons of other weird and disgusting stuff. One guy even ran around with a stapler and had people staple money to him. The band was alot sweeter than the side show with 2 guitars, bass, drums, clarinet and flute. It was like this sweet jazz-fusion with tons of other influences. I would totally recommend them as their 2nd set blew me away.

In "Fred Is Dead" news (that the name of my band). We have shows coming up on the 21st and 28th which should be pretty sweet and hopefully lead to more and better gigs. Also we just got a new website in addition to our myspace at fredisdead.org. Its not that great but its a start.

Well I am pretty tired from watching football all day so I guess I will just say in closing "GO PACK GO!"
