Draft Analysis + News on my band's new EP/Album/whatever
Draft: (Don don't read)
-Matt Millen has balls for taking Calvin Johnson who is gonna be sick even after taking a wide receiver in the last for drafts. Too bad Kitna is their QB.
-Bill Belicheck's balls must be the size of watermelons for:
a.) taking Brandon Merriweather the safety from Miami who was kicking people in the face during the brawl UMiami had during the year and . . .
b.) trading for Randy Moss who was a steal for a 4th round pick. The Raiders are crazy. Mike, I feel really bad for you because I really hoped that Randy would join Farve and it would be a magical season as he heads into the playoffs for the last time. Unfortunately, the Pats beat you to it. I don't even know how we are going to get this many talented receivers on the field at once but for now I'm just glad we are the team to beat in the NFL.
-I don't know much about the Broncos draft except that they took Jarvis Moss the DE from UF. Seems to me like a solid play who will help a lot since the loss of Trevor Price.
-Green Bay made a few mistakes to say the least especially in the first round. Apparently they have faith in Aaron Rodgers whom me and Mike both agreed sucked pretty hard in the Patriots Green Bay game we saw last year. They felt so good they passed on Brady Quinn who I though was definitely going to be a contributer in the NFL. I think they made up for their mistake in the later rounds but I'm really not confident in the GBPFE (Green Bay Post-Farve Era). My roommate Jordan (Big Green Bay Fan) almost cried when they took a defensive tackle first. Sad days for packers fans are ahead.
-Miami is also crazy for not taking Quinn. What did he possibly do that made him not worth the pick? Same thing happened to Leinhart last year as well and it makes no sense.
-Pittsburgh did good as usual getting some depth and talent at Linebacker to replace the loss of Joey Porter. Thats about it.
NBA note: I'm not sure if anyone has been watching the NBA playoffs except me but, Baron Davis and the Golden State Warriors look amazing. They make the Mavericks look like a turd sandwich or a giant douche. Whatever.
SOOOOO . . . now that I rambled about my opinions on the NFL whose season doesn't seem like its ever gonna start I will let you guys in on a little taste of what I have been up to musically.
-Our first gig was a big flop. I talked about it in another post and don't want to dredge up those painful memories.
-CD release party was today. Went fantastically.
-I have in my possession one of the new cds with cool fitting case and everything. Its super neato and I would love to share it with all of you so if you are online and see me on (Ignore the fact that I'm always away) ask me and I will gladly send all 7 tracks in their glory to you.
-We have rough copies of some of the songs online at our myspace www.myspace.com/fredisdeadband so feel free to check it out although the cd is far superior.
-I want to get as much feedback as possible so even if you hate the cd and which you could just bury it in the Sahara or drop it into the Marianas Trench let me know that as it will help in the creative process.
So I know everyone is super busy with finals but will everyone be home in early May?
