Doubting Thomas

Im starting to doubt the logic in going on tour if we have like 5 days to practice together . . . and everyone kinda sick of our old material/theres no time to get anything together in such a short time period without it sounding like crap. I may just kinda be overreacting cause i had a terrible day at work and am kinda pissed off/depressed right ( Read more... )

Well the Broncos messed up. WTF were they thinking. Plummer was no 1337 hax0r but at least he gave them a chance of making the playoffs which is alot better than no chance at all. They are totally going to blow this playoff run with Cutler at the helm. "But Jake Plummer can't win a Superbowl . . ." Hell he wins every time they score first.

--ok, first of all, no. he doesnt win every time they score first. i could give multiple examples, but one will be the game i went to in denver when we scored first and were up 17 points in the thrid quarter but went on to lose. secondly, the team has lost confidence in their quarterback. when that happens, you are screwed. shannypoo saw this and decided to change things up to keep the team from falling apart.

As long as he's not playing from behind he can manage the game plus the Broncos running game is sick so where is the problem.

--this year, running game ain't so sick. at least not the 5 weeks that tatem was out. and when we cant run, jake cant bootleg.

I don't understand what Shanahan was thinking. Sit him on the bench like everyone else and let him mature. There have been little to no cases of qb's who start their rookie season winning any games or helping their team in the long run. Brees started when he was drafted and he was crap. Now 5 seasons later he is the talk of the NFL and is amazing. Pennington came in after a year and led the Jets to a few playoff runs before his injuries pretty much killed what little arm strength he had. Carson Palmer was benched his rookie season. Tom Brady never played his rookie season. Farve sat the bench in Atlanta before he got traded. The only quarterbacks I can even think of who helped their teams their rookie seasons are Big Ben and InVincible.

--whatever. i dontreally want cutler on the sidelines learning from the great jake plummer. i dont feel like that experience of watching a mediocre qb is better than actually getting in the game and learning your weaknesses first hand. yeah, maybe this will shoot their season in the foot, although as of right now the broncos are the #5 seed in the afc. i didnt have superbowl hopes after week 10 anyway, and i feel like any playoff expereince would be great for cutler.
