I don't know, but in Germany the movie starts on January 28th 2010. At least according to this website.

Apparently, the Italian premiere will be around Christmas... I'm wavering between thinking it'll be terrible--or totally awesome. Ah, well. At least we can be sure there's going to be eye-candy, either way. ;)

Right. Still I'm pretty sure I won't go watching it, because... well, I'm a little "old-fashioned" when it comes to Sherlock Holmes. I really don't want to watch Holmes chasing women, getting drunk, beating-up guys and behaving totally non-holmes-y at all, so... Yeah, call me stupid, but I prefer Holmes the way he was written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. (I mean, of course, he was totally married to Watson, but I'm sure Sir Arthur just forgot to mention that fact. ;)

Heh. That was my first reaction, too. But then... Robert Downey Jr.? Jude Law? Slashy overtones? Oh, it could be the worst movie ever made, but I'd still want to see it. *is extremely shallow* ;) I'm just going to consider it like a piece of AU fanfic, I think.

*laughs* That's an excellent way to approach this particular subject! :) If it had some Jensen Ackles in it and/or Christian Kane I'd probably do that, too, but unfortunately I'm not a great fan of either Jude Law or Robert Downey Jr. (though I think he was pretty cool in Iron Man). So, there. But I hope you'll have fun! :)
