2010 Year in Review! (Yeah I skipped a couple...)

Jan 06, 2011 18:23

What did you do in 2010 that you'd never done before? Went back to college. Woohoo future Associates Degree!

Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? UH, can't remember what I said for 2010. Hmm, maybe drink more water? But I say that at least every month. This year I do want to start remembering my reusable shopping bags, already forgot once though.

Did anyone close to you give birth? Jeebus, this list is too long. :^) Guess we're that old.

Did anyone close to you die? Another great aunt passed.

What countries did you visit? CANADA! I blame them for having Toronto which is mostly like a US city anyways, eh?

What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010? A house.

What date from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? Lots of dates, can't think of just one. :^) Guess it was a good year.

What was your biggest achievement of the year? Going back to school, finally got off my @$$. Oh, and now my cat likes to be cozy and sit on my lap. He's old and ornery, his being cozy with us is an achievement.

What was your biggest failure? No real failures, everything's been pretty status quo.

Did you suffer illness or injury? I got to go to an Asthma nurse, yeay public health initiatives. I was the only one to show up for class, which turned into allergy testing (dog dander, ragweed, oak, birch, & dust mites).

What was the best thing you bought? Rental car mega-cheap deal online. MI via CAN and home again was a great road trip.

Where did most of your money go? Dione's wedding. ;^) ...oh crap! I'm in 3 more weddings next year!?

What did you get really, really, really excited about? Getting the chance to get my first "teaching" experience. It may have been for only a crazy short time, but I took over as our classroom teacher. And then I got more excited when Heidi was healthy enough to come back. ;^)

What song will always remind you of 2010? Hmm, "F* You" by CeeLo Green. Heh!

Compared to this time last year, are you: happier or sadder? "By far, happier." Fifth time's a charm, right? :^D

What do you wish you'd done more of? Make the conscious effort to make dinner and get more culinary.

What do you wish you'd done less of? Just sitting around the apartment, I need to be reading more again. Again.

Did you fall in love in 2010? Stayed married, didn't I? ;^)

How many one-night stands? No one night stands, but quite a few late-nighters. Hey! Jon gets home at 2-3am now. ;^)

What was your favorite TV program? "No Reservations" has been an awesome time waster, especially when Travel channel puts marathons together.

Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? Hate? Nah, things have been really good this last couple of years.

What was the best book you read? I know I read books, I even went to the library! I just can't remember what they were. ::shame::

What was your greatest musical discovery? Pops Goes the 4th, I got to sit up close & personal at the Esplanade, sooooo cool! New Bedford Symphony Orchestra - that my friend (who brought me to the 4th) is in!

What did you want and get? A Keurig!

What did you want and not get? Not much of anything, but I do need to go clothes shopping. The wardrobe has gotten old.

What was your favorite film of this year? I can't tell you the last time I actually went to the movie theater. ::sniffle::

What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? 29, and I did shots of Jameson at the Rose Alley Ale House with wicked awesome people! And then Jon and I went to Hyannis for an evening out.

What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Being a homeowner.

How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010? Semi-business casual, still clothes I don't mind getting snack or papermachaie on. And cozy. I like to be cozy. But I also do have 2 awesome pairs of black satin pumps.

What kept you sane? Jon.

Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Rally to Restore Sanity/Fear, unreal how awesome it was.

What political issue stirred you the most? The local Sheriff's race was fascinating to watch, it was incredibly heated.

Who did you miss? Friends! There's a bunch, so I shall lump anyone in this category!

Who was the best new person you met? Awe, wittle Michelle the S-T intern! She's not on LJ so I can refer to her in the diminutive (Why? Because she only freakin' turned 21 while she was here this summer, but she carried herself like a much older/responsible adult.)

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2010? My life lessons from this last year aren't anything you haven't heard before.

Quote a song lyric that sums up your year: "This ain't a scene"
