Yanno what’s weird?  When you write something, and you expect all these responses to it, and you don’t get any.  And then, you write something not expecting anyone to comment on it, and lo and behold, there’s a flood of responses to it.

It applies to both blog entries and fics.  Some fics I write, I get really excited about.  Say… Cuffed!  Dude

Heh, I sorta know what you mean, but I've been deprived of the Tenipuri fandom for so long that I sorta-- well, am not used to what goes on there anymore. But what I can say about the Naruto fandom is that it is so big that most fics that are slightly decent are read and reviewed, and popular fics usually surge above 1000 reviews (the longer 20 chapter plus ones), while getting around 300 reviews for a 10 chaptered fic, I'd say, should be considered normal if not little.

The numbers there are so big! But yeah, I have to agree-- some fics that I come across in Naruto-- they're so damn good, I find myself wondering why there are only 300 reviews for a COMPLETED fic!! It might possibly be because the author updates so quickly though, that causes nobody to review with the "UPDATE OMG!" review. XD Some other fics that are not quite as nicely written, and drag, those get a lot of reviews. I have a couple of theories for it, and one of them is partly because of the adventurous factor of the fic. There's one with Naruto coming down with a disease that makes him very girly and very attractive to straight guys. That one wasn't particularly brilliantly written (it was passable) but it's really popular. XD

And yeah, cuffs are good, but I've read too many kinky "bonding" fics-- a fic with this sort of thing needs to be really creative and really over the top to win me over. XDD That's why I don't agree with the "Maybe it’s just too much crack for some ppl though" comment, cos' I'm all for crazy crack. =D Crossdressing happens to be one of my favourites. XD
